I am Brenda from Seven Springs, NC
I absolutely love the folks on here, and especially those in the 50+ group.
I'd really like to meet you all as I really wasn't aware there were enough of us to have our own chat room. Thanks in advance for taking a moment to introduce yourself.
It would be nice from my own personal perspective to know that there were actually singles in NC as I don't see many aboard or perhaps they simply lurk as I do at times.
Please feel free to come out and play, laugh, weep, debate, whatever mood you happen to wake up in.
I for one will truly appreciate getting to know some of you. And for those of you who do not know where Seven Springs is, it's 18 miles south of Goldsboro, 18 miles east of Kinston and 12 miles west of Mount Olive, and 22 miles from Beulaville. Let's ee what we can get stirred up as a friend of mine refers to it as
By the way, don't know what brought this on, but thanks to Dustin for giving us our own group; have to wonder why he did that....Does anyone know????

Hi Judy, have seen you many times on 50+ but never did know your name. Hickory is beautiful country. Just a little too far north for me. I so dislike the snow and ice that the Triad and Triangle deal with during the winter. Once in a great while Goldsboro and surrounding areas will get it, but not often. Maybe we can get a group together, but to be honest with you, I haven't seen many women from NC post in the 50+ group anyway. Maybe there are some or younger too. We'll have to wait and see. Take care until we meet again.

Thanks Brenda
I have a habit of hitting the wrong button when I go to respond in a thread like I did just before getting in here, and going to persons profile instead, forgive me. I didn’t know that my posting not being able to post in here was going to be such a topic. I did try to mail you about it and was unable to, so that is why I put it up as a topic. I did try to start a new and was unable to do that also. I was in wonder of why I was unable to post in my own state. As you know I was suspended for supposedly offending some one, I thought I had offended you also.
Again thanks Brenda, and you too Judy
Now for fun, lets all go cut down a pin tree.
God's Love

Rich101, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I could not believe how it got so blown out of proportion and I wanted it to die so I wouldn't have to bring your name into and the reason why. I believe I failed at that and I apologize. I did not use specifically your name, but I was trying to get everyone to understand how it might happen, which is exactly how it did happen. All is well now, and I hope that you will forgive me for putting you on the spot. I waited all day for you to come online so the postings would stop. Take care and blessings to you as well. It's nice having another North Carolinian here on the forums. We are definitely a minority here!

Ladies and I hope soon to be more men. It’s okay I don’t like sharing anyway
Now that we are back in each others loving arms; and all is COOL.
Allow me to introduce myself proper.
I am Richard from Mamers NC. I use Lillington for address for most folk know where Lillington is. If not; look for Harnett County on map just above and east of Ft. Bragg. Mamers is actually between Lillington and Sanford. Another blink and you missed it town. I am originally from northern Pa. Lived in Sanford for 8 years moved back to Pa for 4 years, Culpeper Va. for 5 years back here 5 years. Culpeper is a small town but I didn’t know mrsmiles I think this is a good idea for having same state forums. As it will grow you will have the opportunity to get to know folks close to home.
There is a part on your home page that can tell you who is new in area, For mine obviously it comes up with the new women in age group. I think perhaps we should start giving the Carolina hospitality, welcome them to DH and tell them how to get into the Carolinas forum.
So
Lets get this party started

Hi,
I am in Huntersville. I've been in NC 10 years this year. I moved here expecting it to be temporary but the weather seduced me. In Nothern Idaho (Coeur d'Alene) where I moved from I certainly could not have gone fishing in January and had a day we described as "going to heaven without dying" nor would I have been able to hike both Saturday and Sunday last weekend withot a coat. I love NC now but do occassionally get homesick for the wild beauty of Idaho and the scant population (14 million acres of wilderness shared by less than a million residents). I still get out west to hunt as much as I can and am very involved in the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation that has returned elk to their native habitat here in NC.
I have two beautiful daughters who are in the last two years of high school.
A NC chat is a cool idea.

Hey,
I just sent a bunch of Emails to invite North Carolinians to join us -- wanted to clarify that I just searched for North Carolinians and if you received one of those Emails it was to build the NC chat - I was not reading profiles other than looking for NC.

Hi, my name is Dave and I live in Huntersville. Hey Heraldsunshine, thanks for pointing the way to this chat. BTW, my parents live in CDA, ID. They say they are getting way too much snow. I moved here from California in 1991 with my last employer. Since then I have started a business, divorced, and most recently looking for a place to happen.
I sure like this free dating site. For the last couple years I have been on numerous pay sites with no results. I'm on a quest to find out where single people my age hang out. It sure was easier in my 20's. Hmm watching the news, they are talking about digging for gold out west as a way to hedge the economy.

Dave,
Glad you found us. I am ever so jealous of your parents being in Cda -- been feeling homesick recently --- need a good dose of the northwoods SOON!
I lived in CA before Cda -- folks said they were going to retire to Cda so when my marriage ended I moved there as an advance party . . . then we had a 100 year ice storm right before my folks came for a visit and they saw that and decided not to move there but I had already bought a house.
Now we all live here lol

My apologies fellow carolinians and hi. Haven't been monitoring my post properly, but would like to welcome everyone:
Admy - Wake Forest - I lived halfway between Wake Forest and Durham on Hwy 98 for 4 years, loved spending time on Falls Lake and miss it tremendously;
Herald and ddl - have a stepbrother that lives there, but admittedly, we aren't close so it's been a while since I visited; do remember camping at Lake Norman years ago. Nice place to live, esp. since you are within driving distance of the Queen City
Angel - my best friend of 30 years' brother lived in Randelman for several years. Beautiful country and so close to the NC Zoo. Your a lucky to live there.
Hope to see more come in and join.
420Northern - didn't mean to leave you out - had an aunt who lived there for many years. Also friend that has a place there. Yep, I love the NC mountains. My hobby has been to find as many of the waterfalls that I could over the years. Still have many left, so look forward to lots of visits to the NC and TN mountains.
Ya'll have fun here. I know I certainly, esp. in the 50+ and Woman's World Groups.
