My old router took a dive after 2 years, so I went and bought a new one and discovered that Linksys has handcapped them.
Does anybody have a Linksys WRT54G they would trade for a brand new WRT54GS W/ Speed booster.
I can use versiions 4, 5, or 6. Version 7 or newer won't reprogram to do what I need.
I will pay shipping both ways.
Thanks

Speaking of wireless..and routers.
My NETGEAR decided not to work yesterday...would not hold an IP address.
I purchased a new Linksys..WRT 350N..love the faster speed, and
the great strength at a distance for the laptop.
It is a gigabit router with storage link..
Anyone using the N service now, rather than the G

Actually yeah. Gonna flash it and reprog it as a relay.
I have an awsome directional antenna and everything else but my linksys took a dive and decided to brick it self.
I wish I had known they would screw up a good thing when I bought the original then I would have gotten a couple extra.
