I am having the lap band weight loss surgery at the end of April and I am looking for others who have had this done or any other weight loss surgery. Could really use some support.

I havn't had it done I wanted to but my insurance wouldnt pay for it, my sister in law had it done and so did a friend of mine they both did well and have lost over 100 pounds it has changed life for them for the better. I wish you all the luck in this world and hope everything is great for you I will keep you in my prayers.

Mybrother has had it done, he weighed 375 at thanksgiving and had the surgery just before christmas. So far he has lost 55 lbs. and feels better than he has in years,he is 37 and has had no complications.

I didn't have the Lap band done but I am going to have the other weight loss surgery done. I hope on April 2nd.

I haven't but have a total of 8 friends that went to Mexico to have it done...around 10k. All of them speak of how good they feel physically...as a matter of fact the age range of them is from 24 to 30 years of age. I will also say that they seem happier within themselves...the only problem that they do state is that they are colder during the winter months...well we know why don't we....they have lost from 70 pounds up to 130. Good luck with whatever decision you make for "yourself"
