 Hi, I have my class 2 which is everything single axle, and
have sometimes fancied getting my class 1, which is 'big rig'.
I have driven bus but I don't want to deal with people so much anymore.
I have been in social service type jobs most of my life, and had my
fill! I also love driving, and can do it for hours. However, this isn't
the same as doing it for a living. I dated a trucker for a while (such as
one dates someone who swings through town once every two weeks),
and it sounded like hard work and long hours. He claimed he didn't
earn much either, but I didn't believe him. (didn't matter anyway)

I think it would be a great idea to have a group if there are enough
of you on here, as it is a source of support and contact.

Thanks for posting on my site here....I hope other truckers find it and post stories and details about their trucking experiences....Wanted to say to you that if you really want to give driving a chance then at least give it your best shot....ya never know til ya do it if its for you or not and I am here to tell ya Forestrose that I was scared to death when I first started out in 2004 but now its in my blood and I love everything about it. Of course, its like every job we have ever had, it has its ups and downs but with anything, its what we choose to make out of the whole experience.

Happy to hear your enjoying your trucking career...you sound like me when I first started in 2004...I felt like queen of the road being able to drive a big truck and actually using a map to find places!!
