There are mountain ranges in just about all parts of Arizona.
What are your favorites?
Which ones have you hiked?
What stories do you have to tell of the big Rocks?

This is my fave. I grew up with it casting its shadow in the background. It always looks different and on a clear days I can almost touch it from miles away. That's one of the benefits of all the freeway overpasses in Phoenix is the differents views.

One of my favorite hikes in the valley is Wind Cave Trl. It is in Usery Park off Ellsworth. You can see it driving east on the 202. It is the mountain with the yellowish strip across the top. It is only a 2-3 mile trail but it has a pretty large elevation change. A beautiful view at the top. Be sure to bring 6 bucks with you in cash if you go. That's what they charge to park there. (fair amount of trails varying from easy 20 mins to a half day)

Another fav is any place in the Oak Creek area in Sedona. West Fork and Fossil Springs are awesome. Fossil Springs is awesome in the summer.
