I love the power of ideas to transform our lives, and am deeply passionate about the humanities in all forms. I especially enjoy novels, philosophy, science, politics, romantic dinners in Santa Fe (I'm also a great cook!), espresso, fall in northern New Mexico, camping, flyfishing, making furniture with hand tools (just learning), driving my new 350Z Roadster (top-down, of course) and Henry – my two-year old Yorkie. My two children (ages 25 and 22) are my greatest gifts. My son lives in Seattle and works for a major biomedical research firm. My daughter lives in New Mexico, is a cancer survivor and absolutely the most beautiful woman in the world! Her battle with ovarian cancer at age 19 was an inspiration to everyone around her, and taught me the importance and value of living each day to its fullest.
