New arrival to Vancouver!
I'm just sort of stumbling through this profile creation process...
I'll make it nice with a good intro and stuff in awhile...
OK, let's try this...
I love to smile, even better if I can make others smile. I consider myself a true geek. I enjoy MMO's [more sci-fi than sword and serpent], going AFK long enough to bio and return to cruel FFA PVP action in the far reaches of EvE Online.
I also enjoy cycling and now that I'm in a new city where it rains so much, I have to consider throwing an actual fender on my GT.
I have a job. I find it strange that 'having a job' seems to be a high priority??? I thought it was a necessity for living life. Have a job, make money, pay bills, rinse and repeat. Hmmm...
Anyway, I have a decent job / career. I've been at the same career field for over 11 years now. I am a technical person.
* I am past the point of trying to impress people. It's easier to actually be yourself. On the other hand, I am not easily impressed by material things. Don't get me wrong, it's great to enjoy some luxuries in life, like a BMW, a nice boat or your Masters Degree but having these things doesn't make you a better person. Possessions and institutionalized education do not define the person that you are and it's who you are that's important, not what you have.
I moved to Vancouver on December 29th, 2008 which makes me new to Washington and I'm looking forward to exploring the area and getting to know my new cities better (Vancouver / Portland). I bought a camera to capture all the kewl things here!
My sense of humor has been described to me as dry and sarcastic but I'm also goofy at times. I can't remember a joke to save my life but enjoy hearing them.
I suppose that I'm the 'strong-silent' type but can be talkative about 'geek stuff' and technology since that's what I'm into at home and also at work. I have high interest in philosophy and science and will always entertain a good conversation.
Basically, I'm just a regular guy with a normal job, typical routine and average life. Care to know some details? Just drop me a line.
