ABOUT ~MURDA MIKE~
Typically thought of as a Black Italian-dominated culture, in 2000 rap. And entertainment took an improbable turn when fans in the streets of Detroit began to notice the man who took on an unconditional love to help raise Detroit. The trend – which quickly crossed over from the urban community and into the mainstream – can be traced to a single source: gold-selling street-favorite rapper, and CEO and successful entrepreneur, and business mogul: "Murda Mike".
To set himself apart from other CEO's and Business Owners Murda Mike donated over $20,000 to special charities, and non-profit organizations within his first year into business. From that trend, he began to promote local Detroit rappers as a DJ, Selling beats, and producing music, to non-mainstream artist. even going so far as to purchase a custom furnished Loft in the downtown Detroit area to focus on the real-estate aspect, and development of Detroit homes, and distressed property. Bringing families and individuals less unfortunate into a home, as a quick start to move ahead as a beginning of Self-Recoverment. Fans, Local Senators, families, and other local officials as well as the mayor of the city of Detroit. (Kwame Kilpatrick) all over Michigan took note. The seed was planted, a trend born, but like a true leader, Murda Mike quickly moved on. By that point, he had an empire, and a Company that is known today to run prominently.
Born Michael Lucky Arnold in Detroit in 1978, Murda Mike has evolved from a Boxer, and a public icon figure to the streets, to a Urban Local hip-hop star and style mogul, to CEO, and Chairman of his own Record Label/Entertainment Company and leader of a true music, and human economic restoration movement. Murda Mike began his DJ career in the late 90s, producing, and making music alongside heavyweights such as Big Luke, and officially stepped out on his own at Detroit's eastside chedda boys suggestion, Help producing "Oh Boy" 2001's 200,000-selling "Imma Chedda Boy" and earmarked Murda Mike as a bankable star icon with clout.
Flexing his star muscle, Murda Mike introduced his own Detroit label, HITMAN Entertainment©, which he conceived of as a movement of Detroit's life, taken mainstream throughout Michigan. His HITMAN™ Set have proven to be a big seller as well; their two albums (Back In Da Hood And The Assassination) and the solo efforts of Friend Of Money (F.O.M.), and Young Gunna combine with Murda Mike's sales and their incredibly unparallel popularity sold over 3,500 in the Urban Detroit area, and surrounding area of Michigan. In addition to these big sellers, there are upcoming projects by Friend of Money,Young Gunna,5th Atom,Pretty boy Floyd,Magneto,GaineGreen,Maniac,Sus,and Da Problem, and many more all with Murda Mike at the helm.
These successes have propelled Murda Mike to branch out even further, with the formation of his own internet PC Gaming Company, HITMAN Gaming™ & Multi-Media, which is apart of its parent company HITMAN Entertainment©. He recently signed a $150,000 3 year contract with Sony Entertainment™ to co-brand, and promote the sales of all PC Games. Murda Mike promises that their will be alot more to look forward to in his career like the launch of his new Women's clothing line "Murda MAMI Clothing™ which will be a trendsetter in fall of 2008 just wait.
