Her Good Heart
My dandelion that springs
Fourth everywhere, in fields and
cities, cracks and crags, sidewalks
And rooftops. Green shoots that spread
Like angelic wings, to lift
On high the yellow blossom
Which, radiates like sunlight.
And days pass and come to seed,
With a crown of fuzz and full
of dreams, with children's wishes
To float within the wind.
She is my dandelion,
Quite plain in idle glances.
You could find her anywhere
There is to look, not looking
At what seems, but what's there.
What's there is what is lovely,
Beauty that Can't wrinkle up,
That can't fade, and always brings
Tomorrow with a promise.
Heaven is closer than we,
Than you, Than I, ever
Thought.
