bamabob Crane Hill, AL age: 57	Some of you may not be aware of it but there is an organization, Singles of North Alabama,which is church oriented... that is involved with organizing events. There will be a singles dance in Athens at Athens Opry on June 13.. I don't have a clue what the theme will be but there will be line dancing and other music. No smoking and no alcohol. $10 at the door. I was in Huntsville a couple of weeks ago for a similar event that was 60's sock hop theme. Everyone there had a good time and I'm anxious to go again. One thing I thought was really good was the mixer in which the DJ would blow a whistle every so often and the women would find a different man to dance with. Everyone got to mix and meet and dance with different people. It really helped break the ice with the shy ones. I'd be interested in knowing if anyone else would be interested in going to this dance. I'm a bit shy but would like to learn how to do line dancing and get back to doing things like this again. Anyone want more info I'll be glad to try to find out or answer what questions I can.
