Well maybe it depends where you are from, but from this standpoint that is a ridiculous generalization, the majority of nurses here aren't overweight.

I think that idea is perfect i was just thinking that nurses need an outlet because we dont get much free time and dont get to date much or mingle with ppl outside of patients(lol). So please someone get the ball rollin because im in!

I hope some day you will go back...it has made all the difference in the world. I began nursing as an LPN...then went on for my RN...my children were young at the time, and I was closer to your age when I returned...at that time there were not the online offers they have now...Just wondering if you had thought of that, that way you could complete at your own pace. When I returned for my RN I had younger children, I found what they call an "ariculation" program which gives you credit for your LPN experience...so I completed in a year. It was one tough year...but it was so well worth it...so I hope in the future you could do this for yourself...it opens alot of doors for you.

I still say though, having been an LPN I would rather have a darn good LPN take care of me, than an RN who thinks shes too good, and knows it all!!! Good Luck!

Hello, all you nurses! This is a good idea, I love it! I have been an RN for apx. 16 years in a town of about 50,000, pretty rural area in Oklahoma. I am in home health, and love it! I think you have a great idea, and we can be a support to one another, plus, you KNOW nurses have a sick sense of humor, that sometimes other don't appreciate! Lets keep it up, maybe others will find us!
