Well, that is an interesting point. But urine is pretty much water soluable, so why wouldn't it be washed away or diluted by the gallons of water that came after it?
Time to do an experiment. Eat some vitamin C to that my pee is yellow. Pee in a jar, and fill it full of water. Mix and then see if it separates. I'll report back.
Or maybe we should send this one to MythBusters? 
I also pee in the laundry room tub because there is no toilet downstairs.

you can do what you want its your house .. i have done this work for over twenty years i know it doesnt wash down. you can take the trap off the bathroom sink and look inside of that and see toothpaste why do you think urine washes down??

every time I get in the shower.
as a matter of fact, it is actually a good thing to do in the shower. if anybody has ever had atheletes foot, this is a very easy way to prevent it. as for the amonia that the plumber suggested, when urine breaks down it turns into a form of amonia (its called uric acid). the pH of the soap and shampoo actually neutralizes the acid contained in urine. soap is a caustic (high pH) acids are opposite (low pH).
the reason that I know this info is that I do wastewater treatment for my career. industrial and municipal types.
chemistry and biology class are dismissed.

i wouldnt say it is bad to pee in the shower .. i just know it smells and i can smell it every time. i know when some one pees in the shower. but like i said its your shower .. please dont ask me to fix it hhehehe
