Maz- you may not like it but ALL of us here on Illinois Chat ARE FRIENDS. 
We love to kid and joke- there is NO age group here- JUST FRIENDS.

I copied and pasted the posting guidelines. Read them and read the first few comments posted to my thread (excluding Whiteshoo). Sarcasm is hard to read from people you don't know (especially if typed). The first two posts (on a date request topic!) were rude and from guys. I get a rude message and more off the topic rude posts. Given all that, do you honestly think anyone in their right mind would think someone was trying to be friendly?

His post was directed at females, therefore a man posting "nope" in caps came off as sarcastic. I do agree that he was a little rude though.

Wow! You really need to re-read the beginning of the thread. I asked if any ladies were interested. I did not mind the first guy saying a simple "NOPE!" At least he was on topic. The second guy was off topic trying to offer advice. I did not ask for advice in the topic post. I didn't post a topic entitled "Hey any smart a** guys wanna give me some s***!"
I was only rude to people who were rude to me first. I did not start the fight. You did. If you approach me like a human being then you would get a completely different impression of me. I fight fire with fire. However, I can also be your biggest ally if you approach me the right way. If you wanted to truly be friendly then a simple hello would've been fine. If I want to be your friend, then I would approach you the same way.

Speaking my opinion and sticking up for myself may imply I have a big mouth. However, we have a little amendment in our constitution entitling me to do so. For that I AM very sorry. I am very sorry you have all this anger in you for someone you don't even know. I am obviously causing you distress otherwise you wouldn't keep writing on my thread. sweetbabeblues, as far as I have been able to see here the whole problem started with some guy commenting on maz's lack of apparel when all maz was trying to do was inform the Illinois post about a concert by the Steve Miller Band. Are we such hot heads???? I was very glad to know about the concert. I will NOT be able to attend as it is in the Chicago area and I do not make enough money to fill the tank and go that far north. So, please, everybody lets try to be nice, if that is at all possible--and yes, I am being sarcastic and I am a bonifide Illinoisan--born in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

Isn't it truly funny how some people can make everyone believe how sweet they are, all the while making rude little remarks behind the scenes in emails they send?
book...you don't know the whole story of what went on in an email he sent... So my guess would be, don't make post against me, unless you know the facts standing behind all this...JMO
The guy commenting is Mike, and a very good reason he too said what he did, as a certain someone also decided to be mean to him, and then block him from defending himself, in this thread.
And your OOOPS... I was in fact born in Illinois, lived in Illinois, and just now moved to Missouri about two weeks ago. I consider myself an Illinois always have, always will.
So because I move two weeks ago makes me no longer illegable to post here or comment here? I see people posting all over other states Forums all the time.
Now for you Maz.. If you look back..I did stay on topic....And I did not walk away.. Amazing you should think that. Not all people live on the internet 24/7!
