I was kind if interested in this thread, as I just got out of a long distance relationship, in which I had plans to move to her town. She could not move due to custody stuff. I think that where the person lives does play a big issue in getting to know the person. Obviously long distance does not work out for vary long. People get lonely, and moving is hard. So I would say that most people would consider it, however expect things to progress slowly, and you will likely end up living with the person if one of you choose to move. I would say most people would consider it though. There is the chance of a lifetime of happiness for the right people making a connection.

An hours drive would probaly be my limit...Mainly for the reason...if things worked out well...you still allow yourself to be with each other during the week..and not just weekends...

I live in Coleman, work in Marinette, originally from the Bellevue/Green Bay area, and my family & most of my friends are there.  As gas prices continue to go up, I wouldn't go any farther than where I already go. Maybe if I had a car that was good on gas, I'd consider up to 75.

Over the last 9 years, have had 3 relationships over 100 miles.Distants has never been an issue.2 out of the 3 was flying to see each other.All 3 were great people to know, and remain friends.At that time no one want to make a major move,because of jobs.Distance can be an issue for some.

It's intresting to read what people are willing to travel.This day and age,I personally feel it's a responsibility for both to travel back and forth.We all would like to find someone local sure.But look at the possiability of someone you missed on the other side of the fence.
I tend to think if traveling male or female,if it's a financial burden,maybe you shouldn't be dating,or agree to share expences.Then again that would be something you both would have to discuss upfront.Hopefully in you first few meetings.

I dated someone in N.Y. for 2 years. We took turns traveling and helped each other if the finances became an issue. However I wouldn't recommend too far if it causes a financial burden on both parties.
