Yes, a woman who is your height or shorter would. The taller ladies, and I'm one of them, just tend to feel self-conscious with a guy that's shorter than us. Has nothing, whatsoever, to do with them. Taller women, on average, tend to go for the taller guys. I looked at your profile before I answered this question and it seems like you've got a lot going for you. You'll find someone. Just have to be patient. And, trust me, I know that's HARD sometimes. STAY STRONG...and just enjoy the forums. Bet you'll be turning women down you're going to be getting so many hits. Nothing personal at all...Height means a lot to me. I really don't know why, but a few inches to a few feet taller works better for me.
Make that inches or a foot taller than I.

Lately, I've dated several shorter men. I don't feel particularly comfortable with a man who is shorter than me. It bothers me that I feel this way, because there are a lot of wonderful, nice, handsome, shorter men out there. The problem is not them, it's within me.

Well i have to agree with you.
Most of the women out there feel uncomfortable dating shorter guys than them.
For some reason they don't feel comfortable and don't feel protected by that so called taller man.
Anyway regardless of what everone says or thinks.
I believe someone with a great personality and a good heart should over power everything else.

I've wondered about this myself. I'm about 5' 7" , weigh about 155 , in great shape. I run alot , don't work out with weights but do alot of push-ups and sit-ups. But in the end I'm a short guy , and I've found that women seem to lean towards guys much taller. No disrespect to any of the ladies here , its just been my observation. Oh well , I guess gravity sucks. Ha!

I married a shorter guy and I was fine with it, and I met the hottest short guy last weekend, but I think he was bugged with it. I think both parties have to have enough self-esteem to not care if the guy is shorter for a short man-tall woman relationship to work.

As the self proclaimed resident expert AS a short guy 4 things:
1)Yes..as a general rule most women prefer taller guys...fact of life...
2)I love how women say "I want a funny responsible nice guy"...but in reality they will date the bad boy ass(**le if he's 6'3"<<
3) Will Women date shorter guys...hell yes...generally it has been women I have been going out these past 2 years...oh wait..there was that one time I was with a Labradour...
4) Everyone has a "type"..it's no sin... some ladies like taller guys..I like attractive women... Only thing is, If I am contacted by a lady who I'm not attracted to..I will try to be polite about it.

Well guys I'm 5'5'' and I see it every day. Women just go for the tall ones. However some women are not bothered by being with a short guy. They are just few and far between. I would love to date a woman taller than me. At 5'5'' that aint hard. But shorter works to.

I am 5'8"..and I like tall women but my mind is not set on height.. it is set on her and mine personality..what it appears to both of us.. Rest of the world. as far as I am concerned, I would say "Have a slice of lemon with salt & drink some tequila and just chill out. "..and I have dated women upto 6' feet and never had a problem...But it is just how one carries themselves and how you let the taller woman feel when you are around her/ with her...I just make sure they look at me as THEIR MAN...
