hi Queen ,
yeah it looks like I got a little out of control
with this thread,
I guess the point I was trying to get to was,
in this religion forum there's a lot
of posts where people are saying
" I don't like the bible?, I don't like Jesus,"
"God is a bad dude why doesn't he do this or that?"
my point is why don't we start looking at who we are
as a collective whole?,
it's my opinion that we're the one's with the problem,
and I don't see us (the human race) changing our ways any time soon,
besides war pigs is a cool song?
Generals gather in their masses,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
diatribe
a bitter verbal or written attack on somebody
or something........
Yeah, the track record of humanity does not impress
me very much?

jewelz5 - i totally agree, we live in a consensual reality. In the past, they thought the earth was flat and that the earth was the center of the universe. Percepion can be misleading. Any time you watch a magician your perception and preconceived notions challenge your reality. A magicians "magic" is a deliberate attempt to misguide your perception based on previous constructs and paradigms. This perceptual distortion happens all the time but we don't call it "magic", we call it a "mistake".

skipaway- The point is, not a debate on the concrete versus the abstract.
I'm not challenging the Heisenberg uncertainty principle. Just apply what i previously said to a concept of a deity with an open mind and see what fun you can have. The battles actually happened, of course, but they happened because of poor conflict resolution. Each side in the battle was having a concept challenged to the point that they felt it was worth dying for. This has occured throughout history. All groups: religions, the masons, boy scouts, bikers, lawyers, politicians, governments, doctors and used car salesmen have certain constructs and ideas that they cling to. They all devote a great deal of time and effort to validate whatever they beleive in. When they are challenged, they either call the person mistaken, incorrect or just plain nuts. In extreme cases, they just kill the person and in socialized war, they kill all the
"non beleivers". So what i've benn trying to point out is that consensual validation is everywhere all the time. Think about it the next time you stop for a red light.

the point is not that humans have a sin nature or werent made perfect or fell from grace or we are evolving - the point is what as humans do we do about it?

It is not a matter of debating it is that some of us know what is going on and more are finding out all the time. Our governments have been forever telling us that there is a bad guy over there and he wants to hurt you. All we need is more of your money and more of your blood and give us more power and we will take care of you.
We have been falling for this for thousands of years but some people are waking up and trying to tell others to wake up that the powers that be are using us just as they always have and it will not change till we unite and together say no more.
No more to governments and no more to the religions that tell us to kill each other or even decide that someone different is not worth helping or taking care of. Till we learn what it means to love nothing will change.
