Granted in can be disappointing and frustrating, even kinda heart breaking, but meeting for the first time, is both terrifying and thrilling at the same time, isn't it ? You take a shower (hopefully, this is a regular thing) get all gussied up, your heart is beating in anticipation, you're nervous, you look in the mirror, for the thousandth time. The time comes, you jump in your car, try not to speed getting there . And of course you're early, so you can spot the person, when they get there, so if things are "different" you can bail What's your funny or not so funny "first met" story ?

The last guy I met spent 3 hours talking about his ex girlfriend. Then he put his arm around me and said "Isn't this romantic?" I told him that his conversation killed any chance at romance. After I left, he texted me and asked if we could get together again sometime. I responded that I'd have to be really drunk in order to put myself through that again.

I had been talking with a fellow who came across as intelligent and a bit shy. After a week we met at the restaurant. Seeing him I then learned his pics had to have been at least 10 yrs old. I gave him the benefit of the doubt so as we sat talking he has both arms on the table up to his elbows. I brushed his arm. He jumps back throwing his arms into the air and yells, "don't touch me!!!" And people sitting in booths next to us must have thought I did something way more.
I have a great sense of humor and a bit curious I just had to see what's next. We go back to talking; He asks me what exactly do I do at my job. I tried to make a quick picture of it so not to be boring, and then I mentioned a vitamin product we sell and how much I personally enjoy this product. "You should try this stuff...it is great"! Showing my enthusiasm and then he yells again...this time much louder. "You're trying to control me"!!!!!
OMG....I excused myself from the table to go to the restroom and hoping he has gotten back on his soaceship. Then I laughed as I walked to my car....good looking and intelligent turn train wreck and
dual-personality. Could have been much worse.

Let me see, this one has a happier ending (we dated for 6 months) so I am on okcupid and his guy messages me, we start talking and we talk for several weeks before meeting up. The day we are supposed to meet I am supposed to pick him up (fine by me most people in my age group can't afford a car so it didn't bother me none) so he gets super nervous. He goes "how do I know you are who you say you are" so I send him proof pics, doesn't help him much. Then I make the comment that I am a big black man that's going to rape his ass. He didn't find that funny. So he walked about half a mile away from his apartment complex to meet me. When he saw me in my car I have never seen a more relieved man in my life. We got along really great actually. Dated for 6 months, and then he moved off to Mississippi for work. Now I am looking again. That first meeting just sticks out because of the look on his face

Yes  but I was smitten too. He was honest and very...earthy I guess. But every time we were together he would always point out how I was the smartest girl he ever dated and he probably wouldn't date one like me again.

So you intimidated him with your brains but had enough of a wild side that kept him loyal.

Nope I just wanted to be a college professor, he went off to school to be a welder. He felt he wasn't good enough and I felt he was perfect for me. But things happen. I don't know why he didn't want to have repeat of a gf like me, but it's his decision. He is no longer a part of my life. Just a pleasant memory

So I met this dude a couple months ago we were cool kicked it a few times ago but tonight was the night of all nights after going to Applebees and having a few drinks we went back to his crib I remember watching intervention for awhile then falling asleep his phone went off late in the middle of the night and I thought nothing of it then the ringing of the doorbell mind that it's 1am so we both like who is that knowing that I know he already knows who so then the banging of the front door start then the ringing and the phone ringing again so I laugh cause at this time I'm in awe so we hear this scrapping noise and she has know taken the screen off the window and is now banging on it so he says go hide in the closet right then I knew what was up so he opens the door and omg did she go off so I'm guessing she is now looking around trying to see who was in the home so I'm guessing she was about to look in the closet but he stopped her so I'm standing there waiting for her to get to the door they start to argue and fighting she finally leaves and that was my cue to hurry and get the hell out omg was I scared not of her but what the hell she was capable of doing if your going through all of that to get him to answer the door

Met a woman on POF, this is a condensed story of what happened. Profile pic ; smooth facial skin, reality pic : moon craters all over  went to her house, had few drinks, went upstairs , she took her clothes off and took off her wig. What ? Yep, she took her wig off, ( I specified in my search, I preferred medium to long hair ). But we had sex anyway and during the night, while sleeping, I found out that she snored like a dying hog and she had intestinal gas issues (farted) all night I left in the morning, never to return. Sad, but true story ;-(
