I feel at least with internet messages, it is best not to lock yourself up to just one person, just keep moving ahead and through message after message, or e-mail after e-mail or instant message, after instant message, you soon learn, who is real to you and when you find out you can politely leave the other one know, you are about to hook up and want to wait to continue messaging until, you know if it will work out or not. If they come back nicely and ask can we continue to chat as friends until you know, that is a blessing, because sometimes things just change so quickly and your free again, and if communication has continued it is much easier to continue to get to know each other, without hard feelings. So Yes, it is very possible.
In real life, if your honest than yes it can be possible, if each knows you are unsure who you are going to meet, or be with. What I mean is Does one want sex only and the other wants a commitment, than one needs to decide what he or she wants more, and the decision is made. Your not saying Yes to marriage and than seeing someone else right? wondering if she/he is the right one, now that would be wrong.
Just because you agree to meet someone, that doesn't mean you cheated on someone, if you seen someone else, last weekend. Sounds like your playing the field, right now and nothing wrong with that. Enjoy!

You know, it's kind of funny. this thread. My mind often wanders back to that time. Yes,my heart has been in 2 places at the same time. I remember it like yesterday, although it's been eons ago. I remeber also, at that time, Mary McGreggor had recorded a song.."Torn Between Two Lovers"..The words kind of summed up what I felt...

yes, my heart has been in 2 different places at one time....
it's also been broken into a thousand little pieces that I thought I'd never be able to put back together....
but somehow, I did...
It's hard to care about people sometimes.

No. I am always too glued to whatever it is (or whoever) I am engaged with.

No, usually when I become attracted to someone else while in a relationship its a sign to me that something is going wrong in my current relationship and I need to try harder.

What if you develop feelings for the wrong person? Someone who is attached... and you wouldn't go there... but you still have the feelings? That can suck. That to me is having my heart in two places...

Yes, you can be attracted or have feelings for multiple people. Some feelings are stronger for some than others.
