I don't mind winks once that is. When someone sends me one after we have exchanged emails or chatted, I find it downright annoying. It seems to say they don't remember talking to me or something. I would prefer an email first though. The wink seems to say I might be interested but not enough to send an email. I would send an email first.

It comes down to who makes the first move . And it helps to ease the rejection factor...send out a bunch of winks, you could get a response back and then you make a better effort with an email.

I don't mind the winks. No harm no foul. Doesn't mean I didn't read the profile. Just meant that I'm interested and if u r too let'go. No wink or email back, no interest and we both move on.

Actually I dont' mind winks. My friends and I use them all the time. For us just a way to say hi. I usually respond to the winks. IF they are from someone new and I read their profile and am not interested I just delete them.
What irks me is a wink and a friends request with me never having gotten an email from them.
Bottom line you can either turn it off or just delete no big deal. If you are interested in the person that sent the wink well email them.
