I'd spent thousands on ACL surgeries for my rotti, both rear legs, and one of them 3 times! All depends on the dog, my financial circumstance at the time, and what the quality of life would be. I have a 14 year old smooth collie who I love dearly, but she's starting to show signs of age, and outside normal medical exams and the incontinence meds, I don't know what other expenses I'd be willing to incur at this point in her life. Keep her comfortable, make sure she's happy and loved!
