Well I enjoy the banter and the forums and really like hanging out with all of you...Haven't made anybody's S**t list until now...I guess it was just a matter of time.
I just received the following post in my mail...WTF
Didn't reply...Thought I would get somw advice from the experts....I know there have been threads on this long hair deal...But they dun made it personal...
Read this and give me some backup...
*********************************************************************************************
I've always wondered why do mature women, say over 45 to 50 maintain hair styles that are more appropriate on a much younger woman...say a college student in her 20's....
I think mature women should put theri best foot forward, transition into a next productive phase, cut the long hair down the back like a school girl, and become proudly more 'age appropriate'....accentuate the positive and turn loose the look of the 'past'
It's like a 50 year old woman wearing tight hip hugging jeans with a midriff top.....showing off a pierced navel, or a friggen tattoo .....it doens't seem to work very well, and looks a bit silly...
It ain't 1970 anymore

Klassy, it's hard to have a battle of wits with someone who is unarmed. I say ignore it. Who the hell ever said an older woman couldn't have long hair? I happen to like long hair and won't ever cut mine off. If you look back through the ages all women had long hair.

HEY SRQMANN...I have a tattoo and I like my jeans tight, but I draw the line at the midriff showing...the belly is private viewing by invitation only. Don't check your mailbox hun...

This is funny. Someone actually THINKS about this long enough to form a detailed explanation of why someone else can't choose how to make their own body look. Then they write to someone, probably more than one, to tell them he has judged them and deemed them "too old for long hair". Perhaps that energy ought to go into something ... oh I dunno.... worthy of thought? There are people who are starving, sick, needy, cold.. there's war, there's global warming...
You can tell the size of the man by the size of his problems.
(This fits about 27 other threads too but ...)

i looked up his signature on the search and nothing came up.. guess he mispelled or you did Klassy to hide his innocence?

rcb, no it doesn't sound like a young person saying that.
It sounds like some old foagie. Like a lot of my mother's coworkers who are in their 70s trying to encourage her to chop her hair off because she's in her 40s now and it's so "inappropriate" to have long hair after whatever age.
It's hogwash. Keep your hair however you like it. If you can pull off tight hip huggers and tight tshirts, DO IT.
Don't listen to something someone who still lives in the Stone Age thinks.

If that's the case should young women keep their hair long. I'm with you ladies. I am not getting my hair cut short for anyone. I like to be able to pull it up anytime I want to. My mom is 57 and she still looks amazing with long hair.
