So I am fairly new to this site and already have had 3 fake profiles and scammers. Some of the men I've talked to are looking for a weekend fling others want a soft place to land. Are there real men left out there? I'd love to hear from the men about what they want and from the women how are you surviving dating at our age?

Speaking only for my self but I'm only looking for friends. I'm not into playing BS games or the like. If I could find someone to take fishing once in a while...that would be cool!
But if I can get someone to laugh once in a while

30 something women, are always in my inbox.. 99% of them scammers. 
How about someone who is honest. Not married, has a car, a job, and not " 420 friendly".. , or a reasonable combination here of..
Oh.. And doesn't live 800 miles or more away..

I found a few years back that online dating is not for me. Otherwise I am surviving dating just fine. Men are men, they have the weakness of thinking with the wrong head at times. Age doesn't change that. Bless their hearts. But you still gotta love 'em. 
Just curious? What do you consider a "real man" to be? If you judge by the internet then you really need to broaden your horizon 'cause all us females have been through the same. Good luck.

30 somethings can be no bargain either. I recently had a 30 something want me to meet her @ 100 miles away. It was to be a second " date", I had met her before.
I arrived about ten mins late, to find a text that I had not heard while driving, that she would be " late" i said OK< see you soon.
An HOUR later, after no show, call, or text, I left. I texted to call and say I was leaving.
No return call, no text, no apology , nothing..
There may be some nice people, for dating, on this site, but, the scammers and, idiots out number them by far..
So, It does not matter what thier age is..
I use this site for entertainment only for the most part.
BTW... I hope this Lady does not contact me again..
There is no excuse for this behavior.. I feel like I am in Middle School sometimes on this site.

To reverse this, I wouldn't want a 30 year old man. There just wouldn't be a connection.

Welcome to the 50s sky
To survive dating at our age... I've no idea. I found it to not be very fun nor rewarding, and much of it perplexing and takes one off track ...
I see as I age the days are so much shorter, it seems. I can't see wanting to date unless I'm bored to death
Is there realllly anyone out there in the discard pile of life who can bring to a relationship a truly interesting added aspect to ones life? And in what doses can one tolerate? Really wanting just one special person to be exclusive with?
Or...is meeting a variety of people to just have company with for dining, etc more up one's alley?
I much prefer someone who can add intellectually to daily life than find someone to have to compromise with daily.
I get bored easily and it doesn't take men long before everything they say is a repeat
