To treat a Goddess like a queen is a nothing short of a crime..
You're the plot to my line. The thought to my rhyme.
Won't make you sad. Instead you'll laugh till you cry..
You say your down to earth. I'll lift you up till you fly.
The simple things in life are what brings you most joy.
Here's a short story of when a Girl met a boy.
He wrote her a poem. He got her to smile.
She wrote him right back. Says she likes his style.
He says that her beauty is beyond compare and that
He would do anything to show that he cares.
But there's a look in her eyes that says "I've been hurt"..
Like her hearts been torn and thrown on the dirt..
He says "It's your lucky day, I'm here to save you.
 . Take good care of this new heart I gave you."
It belonged to a boy going through life all alone.
Now he shares his life with a girl of his own

I hold your hand and tell you I love you
I look upon your beauty as you are lying in the bed
There are so many things that need to be said
With you none of my days are blue
Without you I don't have a clue
You give me strength to carry on
i laugh when I remember the day you hid the bong
You are the thread that holds my soul tight
Damn you are a beautiful sight
Why do you cry?
Oh, that is me
As the casket lid is closed tight.

I'll try a short simple one
Out of The Blue
Angel sat stuck on the side of the road
front left tire blown off the rim
She had struck a hunk of bark off a truck
and now her patience was wearing thin
Angel was incapeable of changing a tire
and hadn't be able to for some time
She sat there with distress flashers lit
but nary one soul addressed the sign
Three hours later after prayerful duress
an empty logging truck pulled nearby
A tall burley fella came barreling down
and sauntered toward her on the sly
Within a half hour he had the tire changed
and she offered to pay him a twenty
But he wasn't gonna take one cent of money
just yer smile Darlin' is rightly plenty
Angel saw him glance at her license plate
it was a personal one easy to know
The wilderness afforded heavenly messengers
and God connected the dots in the snow

Thanks guys! Great writing once again!
A warm summers night has never before felt this cold, as I take a long walk.
With thought of the past running wild through my head.. how I wish we could have that long talk.
The one that could fix any problems we had. Take a breath hit refresh. Start a new.
But there is no cure all, no one easy step. I know what we had is now through.
So I'm walking along with my head hanging down for what seems like an eternity.
When clumsy ol me ran into a woman. Snapped back with a sense of modernity.
"Excuse me! I'm sorry. I was not attentive. Distractions polluting my mind!"
At that very moment when our eyes first met, it felt like the stars had aligned.
As if for the first time, I opened my eyes after living a life being blind.
Nothing else mattered. I had to have her. I could tell she was one of a kind.
So I asked her "please miss, can I buy you a drink to make up for my clumsy intrusion?
There's a bar up the road. A quaint little place with great alcoholic solutions!"
So we went to the bar. We talked and we laughed! Overjoyed by the nights evolution.
years latter we marry. 2 kids. Ben and Carrie. Couldn't wish for a better conclusion!

It's clear as day for all to see!
There is no where I'd rather by
Then here with you, and you, with me.
We cuddle, fingers interlock.
No since of time.
Who needs a clock?!
You'll be my wings, I'll be your rock.
Your beauty's stunning. Electric shock.
When I'm with you, baby, I feel so free.
My love burns for you. Third degree.
If nothing else I guarantee,
You and I are meant to be.
When I look at you, my heart skips a beet.
Love came in and swept me off my feet.
You + I = complete
That's how I know you and I are meant to be.
You might not be perfect but your perfect for me.
I might not deserve it but I'm worth it. You see,
I've said it before and I'll gladly repeat.

I wrote this one last Summer
it should fit in here ..
Summer Dreaming
waltz me thru the prairie grasses
wild roses in prolific bloom
my bare toes tickled till I giggle
laughter to chase away the gloom
calico frock baring my shoulders
allowing kisses of sunshine
calloused hands caressing my back
so letting me know you are mine
the river whispers its temptation
we are caught up in its spell
warm crystal sands doth invite us
to come closer where nature dwells
you loosen ribbons from my curls
gently brush my willing lips
and my sundress flows down softly
passed the curvature of my hips
we wade into sweet cooling waters
caressed by the warn sunrays
and realize that love will happen
an ever-lasting beauty displayed

When I look at you, I feel so new. My past gets washed away.
You understand that life isn't black and waite. We live in shades of gray.
The way you're smile makes me smile too.
So much I want to say.
But words can't even begin to describe the role in my life that you play.
I'm comforted by your way of thinking. You make me want to be better.
I find myself telling all of my friends "I'm so Great full to God that I met her!"
Sometimes life throws you a curveball when you least expect it.
Even is We miss what's thrown our way you only fail if you don't correct it.
If you fall, don't take it as a loss. You have to learn to respect it.
For you only truly ever lose when you haven't learned a lesson.
So here I am putting all I am on the table. Plain to see.
And the fact that you still love and respect it is what makes us meant to be!
We've been hurt before but I'm not afraid to put it all on the line.
You can have the key to my heart cuz' I know you'll always be mine

I come to you restless, aching
missing the love you gave
the vulnerability in my eyes
burns through as your gaze
changes from anger to compromise
you wish it wasn't so late
so much time wasted
wanting to be mine
to hurt and blame
mistakes cut like blades
scars covered the stakes
No more time for games
nothing will ever be the same
rather you go or stay

The snowy drifts between me and you,
Miles of road, blackened sky too

With conversation that I crave

Life sometimes may throw us off the path we should go down.
Regardless I wear a smile cus' You never let me frown!
The world may seem cold. your warm touch gives my shelter.
The Flames of love are bright as stars as hearts begin to swelter.
classic love story. Eyes met across the room
But I knew I had to have her. I'd even lasso the moon!
So I walked up to her with a smile and goofy line.
"Aren't you tired? You've been running up and down my mind.
A woman of you're grace and charm is something hard to find.
The Bonnie to my Clyde.
Be my partner in crime!"
We went out the next day enjoying every second
but one date wasn't enough!
I knew I needed a second!
When I looked at her face, I saw a better place.
The type to make a hunter want to give up the chase.
And I'm done now. Don't run now. No insinuation.
I have this ring. All I need is your fingers collaboration!

The Heart Wants What the Heart Wants
Justification of tiny reasons,
pondering this new season;
not of Spring, Summer or Fall
Wishing the total Soul recall
would make haste to erase
leaving not even a small trace
The Heart wants what the Heart wants
On many levels doubt confounds
let there be Light, in Peace to surround
Many questions right from the start
former answers need to depart
Confirmation not from my Soul
desirous, this time, to be whole
The Heart wants what the Heart wants
Warmth, Comfort, and Joy abound
Smiling now, with laughter's sound
(Is there any usual, or rational thought)
Mind immersed with the Blessing
Upon my wounded Soul gently pressing
From somewhere on High 'twas brought
I see now what I couldn't before, and it is
simply this...spoken not in a whisper...
The Heart wants what the Heart wants
Pattern can't be drawn or stenciled
even if I used the finest artist's pencil
do not think to lay upon me the taunts
and please put away all past haunts

Whispers of Yesterday
Whispers .. as weathered leaves
come calling
across the valley floor
waywardly tossed to and fro
The evidence surely there
but who can tame
or grasp the meaning
as to yesterday hearts are leaning
Fingers .. come up empty
winds of change
swept remnants of dirtied snow
baring the ground down to its soul
The sun shines bleak
with promise
of new things yet to come
uncertainty beckons me to move on
But I once more grasp the shirt tail
of those faded memories
pull them oh so close
and dance a playful do-si-do

Your words are more then just words to me.
They ease my soul, and they set me free.
They calm the waters through the storms of despair.
They grant me peace even when there's none to spare.
When we let fabrications take control of our mind
the truth, then becomes impossible to find.
So your words, my dear, I'll use as my guide!
like parallel lines, I'll be at your side.
When words cut like blades and they seem so relentless,
We can count on each other cus' numbers are endless.
I'll let down my guard. stand before you defenseless.
each syllable filled with a love so tremendous!
When pairing these verbs with metaphoric conjugation,
there's a calming, surreal, euphoric sensation.
Your words, my dear, are my most prized possessions.
Similar to a drug, and I have an obsession.
Your words, on my life, have made quite the impression.
Through you're words, I'm assured everlasting progression.
So I'll lay it all out on the table with the hopes
that words are more then just words to us both
