I think the agreement with Cuba was a big story of 2014, not sure what I feel about it , but was notable.
George Clooney finally got married, that was notable.

One of the biggest stories would be
Ferguson: Racial tensions erupted this year in Ferguson, Mo., after Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, was shot and killed by a white police officer, Darren Wilson. Protesters clashed with police for weeks after the shooting. The violence escalated again after a grand jury voted not to indict Wilson. He has since resigned from the Ferguson Police Department, citing safety concerns for his family and fellow officers.

im sure they'll tour again,as did KISS under the same circumstances. no band retires that early.
Mck Mars health isn't good,so it could be their reasoning.

This year started rough. My dog died on new years day. Was worried it was starting bad and maybe get worse. As the yr went b on it got better and is ending the best yr in a long time. 2015 I think is just going to get even better.
Current events.... Disappointment. The murder rate is off the charts. Crime in general is way up. World peace is shaky. This world is getting scary. No regard for human life .

This year is the end off alot of death in my faimly my beautiful sister was the last for awhile i hope, first a murdered nephew then his dad died from a broken heart then our father died from being poisoned from his work and the at last our sister from canser , Rest in peace dear family

Been a pretty crappy year for me personally but
My oldest that is on the spectrum started college and is living on campus. I remember when we were unsure she'd graduate high school....
My middle one decided to live with her dad.  this has destroyed me the last couple months.
My lil one potty trained. 
Hey that's a big deal to me!
And ended the year with falling head over heals for a wonderful man...

sorry to all those expierenced loss this year, I will keep in you in my prayers.
This has been a tough year for me as well, but I can say I am a survivior. What does not kill you does make you stronger, that is for sure.

The year in general sucked.
Pop culture sucks..the economy sucks..the news sucked.

The deaths of some of our beloved entertainers (ie: Robin Williams, Shirley Temple) were definitely some of the sadder moments. I have to agree with Kris that the economy still sucks. Lucky for me I'm in a job that will always have clients as they are there involuntarily.
Personally, I've made some great friends here on these forums (and one special one in person), rediscovered my love of playing music and drawing, and managed a personal best with my bench press workout.
Here's hoping that 2015 keeps looking even better for everyone.
