binderdundat Metairie, LA age: 46	I am sooooooooo not a purse person! I see them as a practical thing, not an accessory. I defy all fashion sense and carry my crap around in a black fanny pack. I don't WEAR the fanny pack (unless at a fest, or shopping in the French Quarter) but that's what I use for a purse. It's the perfect size (I carry the basics, that's it) and has a spot for my cell phone. When grocery shopping, I attach it to the cart so nobody can just walk off with it. Can't do that with a purse!! I have one purse that I've been saving for "special occassions"... thinking I'd swap out my fanny pack to the purse.... *sigh* that 'occassion' hasn't come up yet. I just never got the whole purse thing

Now, am trying to get used to purses again, and believe me, I freak at least once a day, certain I have set it down somewhere. I do love bags, though. Found a bright chartreuse one at a consignment shop, perfect for a splash of color when it gets gloomy outside. Hmmm, I wonder if I should buy a fanny pack and use it just for travel? My friends loathe them, and nag me to carry a bag, but I sure love fanny packs! Even bought an expensive leather one!
