I agree. Life is what you make of it. Dating sites are what you make of them. I haven't been on this site long but I rather like it because of all the options - the forums, the blog, the ability to actually email someone instead of only winking or sending a flirt because I chose not to pay for the privilege. I've paid for a month or two on other sites over the years and do not find them any better. It still boils down to what you put into it and your expectation.
If you expect crap, you'll get it, no matter how much you pay.
And you know the saying, "misery loves company"? The more you talk about how bad this place or any place is, how rotten the prospects are and how worthless it is, the less anyone who thinks otherwise will choose to interact with you. Another saying is, "if you want a friend, you have to be a friend."
And maybe our questioner is just having a bad day?

For a free site this is actually pretty flexible, fun and well set up. There just is not a lot of traffic on here that I can see. Hang in there Tonka_man stay for the long haul. Patience here is the key.
