I have read many of your posts and I have to say yes you are disabled and no, no one has walked in your shoes but on the flip side, you have not walked in other either and I think maybe some of your negativity could also be part of your problem. Seems you have no real like for women. Also, when someone else posts regarding their disability, I don't think they are crying out for attention or setting up a competition as to who has the worst disability and yet you seem to perceive it that way. I may be wrong but I call it as I see it. I see no cryer here. Just someone discussing their problem just as you would. JMO

I would, I have a rare form of ms. It is called neuropothy. I have dated in the past, of course it was a long time ago, but yes. I never know when I will be in so much pain that I know a hospital can not help. I have written a song in ref:, to my Father and all the WWll vets, and all vets, and DAV's . One line goes, and this is copywritten all rights reserved but of course you can't hear the music, but I know if someone takes my words, I just want to share something......"You don't have to walk in my shoes....to feel...intensity of pain." So there. I know that those who go the anger side of life are just covering the pain too. Hope who ever said the boo hoo's about the couragous idividual who started this thread would just go through the pain and get to the other side of the living. Thank you. I would date someone who has down's syndrome quicker than any ego's out there. A little piece of Heaven for all to cherish. As long as he/she
is an adult, just be real, be patient. You are really missing out on someone beautiful.
chaaron'...Peace to you....always

My apologies upfront to the original poster and I hope you find what you're looking for....

I posted this in another thread but feel its worth a repeat here..... and I'll add this on top...Klondyke -Read this and answer the following, Am I not disabled enough for you?

I've read a few of your posts and they are filled with negativity and seeming contempt towards anyone that claims ANY disability....Disability is not exclusive to a Para or Quad... It comes in many forms. Yeah you were dealt a crap hand but guess what? So were a lot of other people.

Copy and paste from another thread follows-

I'm new here but I'll throw my two pennies in....

Here is my list of "disabling" injuries.

Torn achilles tendon right ankle- surgical repair, slight limp.

Torn muscles, tendons and dislocation of left shoulder- surgical rebuild with donor tendons.

Torn muscles, tendons and dislocation of right shoulder- surgical rebuild with donor tendons.

Torn ACL and medial meniscus left knee- surgical repair

Dislocation of L-4 vertebrea with crushed disc at L-3, L-4, L-5 and S-1... Anterior/posterior surgical repair using fusion with apparatus posterior/anterior.

Back was done 18 months ago... currently on a motorcycle trip of over 3000 miles.

I qualify for SSI, the handicapped placard and everything else but choose to work instead and live with the the pain, the limping on occasion and everything else that comes with these injuries. Its just how I choose to roll.

So am I disabled enough for some people? That just blows me away.

We all have our cross to bare, I judge no one for what lifes dealt them. I would certainly never think I'm more or less disabled than anyone.....

To answer the question- Yes I would date someone with a disability.

Off the soapbox now.... Y'all have a nice night.

That's what it seems like to me. Fortunately, I only have one disability and that is that I am hearing impaired. It has been a bit of an inconvenience at times but all in all I could have something worse, like extreme bitterness because of what life has dealt me.
Good luck in your quest for friends, mrmd. There are several nice people here on datehookup so don't judge the rest of us on a couple bad eggs. LOL

Some should take a good look on what their actual disability is. This is not a competition and I can't see being rude to someone that comes in this forum for advice, help or suggestions. I don't sse how that is defending people with disabilities at all. I would be the first to admit I don't know how everyone feels, what their limitations are as they don't know mine but on the other hand, this is not a "my disabiity is worse then yours" forum. I don't think that is what anyone wants to hear and it is not necessary to say that we all wish we did not have the issues we do. But I am disgusted by some of the posts I have read, some complain about oters treating them decent or accepting them when seems they can't even give the same courtesy to those in the forum. You might want to actually think "which disability" they are rejecting you on. JMO
