It is my opinion that when photos are posted just for shock value like that, it diminishes the tragedy. It's not a question of hiding reality, it's a question of offering the proper respect to those poor creatures.
It puts me in mind of people who post graphic images of partial birth abortions to illustrate that they are pro-life.

I would say that those in this group are against any mistreatment of animals, period, from c*ck fighting, to
cruelty in the movies, circus, or anywhere and any animal. I would guess that many of us are members of
the Humane Society and/or local SPCA. Animals are our precious heritage, and we must protect them from
the cruelty and indifference (lab animals, for example) of our own kind. So, of course we are saddened and
distressed by abuse of animals....

abortion and animal fighting is a slightly different topic. you can watch animal planet and see what goes on ...but for people who judge the breed before they know the breed it doesnt hurt to see what human beings have done! not to mention i posted pics of loved animals who werent abused.. and as for shock value, no not why they are posted, they are there because its reality all over the world what these poor dogs go through.
