I hate to disagree with you Top, but Hanoi Jane is a traitor!
I'm not saying Fonda was a good little b*tch. What I am saying is that that note thing at the Hanoi Hilton didn't happen. She was never passed anything there. That story is not true. And YES! She is a traitor.

Hanoi Jane is rich and has influence. She knows the right people to talk to to get what she wants. The American general public (for the most part) has forgotten what she did in Vietnam and has accepted her weak assed apology for that. The only reason she made that weak assed apology was to make herself look good. She's a traitor, a b*tch and should be the guest of honor at a necktie party. String her up and be done with it!

I joined the Corps at 17, in 1987, and was at 9th MAB by 17 1/2. I heard someone mention her name and made the mistake of saying "shes hot". I was forgivin my innocence (i was too young to know any better) and immediatly educated by my Top, as to miss Hanoi Jane. I was told many stories, and more importantly, shown some of these same pics.
My point is that i knew in my heart that if she had done even one percent of what she was alledged to have done, and i beleive she did. That she was a worthless stack of shit. So although america at large may have forgotten and forgiven, some of the next generation have been educated. I hold no love for her now, and have passed this sentiment on, not only to my generation, but to some even younger than me.

It's people like her that are the ones who are not supporting our troops.... they should have to go spend a week in the safety of basic training.... never mind what you are all asked to endure.... maybe that would wake them up????

I heard of this information some time ago, and also found it to be false for the most part, but while still in the Marines at El Toro MCAS in 73, there was quite a stir when Hanoi Jane took her trip to North Vietnam.
Many Jarheads who used to like her, turned against her and said she was a disgrace as an American. When she made the movie "China Syndrome", I did go to see it, but more for the content, and Jack Lemmon. I'm pretty sure I heard "Hanoi Jane" a few times in the theater.
It's true that many civilian targets were bombed in N. Vietnam, and it was costly to the North in civilian lives. Civilians always become 'collateral damage' in any war.
Still, Fonda making that trip stamped her forever as "Hanoi Jane" in the minds and hearts of all Nam Vets! She will never live that down until she dies, and I'm sure at her death, that her trip to N. Vietnam will be brought up strongly in the media.
