Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982). Jennifer Jason Leigh - the daughter of actor Vic Morrow, Acts in one of the greatest scenes in a movie about where hippies chicks went. She plays the growing up daughter of two hippies. They as a couple have raised her well. She is now in love, she is leaving home, and her parents can finally relax. They do that by smoking a joint and finally having their house to themselves. (They had not done that for a long time while their daughter was growing up). The daughter turned out to be a very great person. Great...Great...scene.

They sure were easy going down to earth girls. What ever happened to them? Have they gone into hiding or live somewhere in communes?
Funny you should ask this. Just a day or two ago...I was thinking this same thing.
They dress differently, more subtile, blending in with the status quo. Hair is worn up more... anonymous... not attracting unwanted attention. Still believes in "Free Love". Believes Americans are still so Hung Up on Sex & Guilt! She's well traveled.
When a couple... maybe more open minded to alternitive lifestyles... maybe 'Earth Mother'/'Midwife'/'Holistic Sciences'... concerned with Home & Family.
When single... she's just more Selective... Discriminating... but still enjoys Sex with the same abandon that allows the senses to take over... like meditation with the physical benefits. She's much more likely to be ahead of the curve in Enlightenment!
you girlie boys should be so lucky to find an authentic 'Hippy Chick'! you know who you are...lmao!

There still at the Bob Marley concert reliving their youth and trying to score a doobie
She Has the 'Doobie'! Still Enjoys Her Youth...! She's from the generation that refused to grow old!
The (hypothetical) 'Ziggy Marley & Lenny Kravitz' concert is in Nigril where she has a Winter Home with guest house... They are all coming over to her place to party after the Gig!
Bob Marley died from prostate cancer(or the CIA) in 1981.

i need one someone to share the duby with
It's spelled "dooby" and I still hang my clothes out, grow veggies from seeds I've saved and dried, still don't drive much (have 25,000 on a 1999 car), can my own food that I've grown, still like to tie-dye when I get the urge, don't smoke pot anymore but did grow 128 plants inbetween my corn when I was 26 and gave it away to friends (when the squirrels didn't eat them all.....), grow my hair under the old arms and legs in the winter for warmth and because it's soooo soft (hate shaving in the winter - dries out the skin - don't have much hair anyway being blond/gray....) It's all personal dudes and dudettes. I loved growing up in the 50's and 60's - it was truly a special time regardless what people who haven't grown up in those times say....no we all didn't smoke pot and screw anything that walked....then again......
I say we are alive and well...and I'm a younger version of that time...it's more people who are in their 60's and up..... I wanted to go to Woodstock with my girlfriend but my parents wouldn't let me...I was 16 then...........
Peace
(closest I could get to a peace sign......)

Woodstock was in 1969. I was 16. You are 2 years older than Me... so you were 18, dear. I ended up in Atlanta that summer, "Piedmont Park & The Stripe" @ 10th & Peachtree, right after the 'Atlanta Pop Festival'. My brother is 60, I know what you mean... as far as They brought New Ideas home from College... some brought Heroin home from Vietnam! But we All had The War! The Civil Rights Movement! These were our focal points... The issues that banned us together. The "weed/grass" & "LSD" were only a catalyst for our shamanistic gatherings & "Free Love" was a natural outpouring of emotion in the realization of our Freedom and Oneness! We had TM and Timothy Leary! And the Government was encouraging us to try "STP" in a controlled environment! Hell Yes!
Great that you grow your own veggies still! So do I on a limited basis. But, I have to say... This is the 1st time I've ever heard of a woman growing underarm and leg hair for Warmth! lol. I know, I know... I did'nt shave again until I was 30! But to each his own.
I will leave you now with the words of Bob Dylan...
"I was so much Older then... I'm younger than that Now".
Peace Now!
