there are 259 members in the Military forum. and if everyone would just send $5 or $10, that would be a great way to help funlovinwoman out. Come on vets lets show that "CAN DO" spirit.

Hopefully--by now--her local area has made contact---like I said--the Red cross and the different groups usually spring into action when a person or family loses a home in a fire. Insurance should have sent something by now--never saw a day or two go by without a response from insurance after any fire. She needs to get going and make those contacts. Wish her our best.

Douglassville is a really small town---but there has got to be town or county agencies available for her--she can't be sitting in the dirt since that fire. I am sure the area fire and police people did not drive off and leave her stranded. let us know exactly what she has done and what she may need.

Things are under control for now. Just yesterday the insurance made first contact; They will be removing and assessing damage to all "contents" and those salvagable will be run through a "filtering machine" so all smoke detection can be removed as it is unhealthy to her lungs to even go into that house.
They will not mess with clothes, and little things as it is an expensive procedure. After they remove all items and either salvage and filter, they will clean the inside, then they will assess the contents for monetary replacement. After that, they will assess the structural damage and what happens from there.
She has stayed a few nights with a neighbor after getting released from hospital and is fixing up "old home" on property that she used for storage. She will get water there by, hopefully, Monday. Electric company checked out wiring in old home for safety and it is OK.
Many in 50+ Group have already or are sending clothes and stuff. It is being taken care of. Thanks for your prayers, she will return when she can, and said to tell all she misses you and will be back.
She is heading out of State for some medical appointments, and will return when she can.
P.S. her little area "did not" spring into action, but all is going to be fine.
Thanks again, her friend, Elly
I will not be posting over here any more. Buttons can when she gets back to a computer.
