i copied this from a previous post i made, how efficient of me!!!...there is no such thing as a serious long distance relationship...eventually one person is going to be unhappy with the situation...long distance relationships are for people that are afraid of long term comittment...long distance relationships are a cop out...yep, i said it

I tried a long distance romance and just got burned, pretty much everything that he
had told me was not true. I just spent 3 days with him. I was to be his one and only.
Women where calling all hours day and night. Used his comp and found e-mails from
a bunch of you women here on datehookup. I am really hurt I thought I could trust
this guy. I am going to take a different apporach to the next one I have a connect
with. Good Luck to all of you out there, but really careful.

I am amazed that someone would say a long distance relationship will not
work..because they had one where someone cheated. In any relationship someone
can cheat if they want to. So we can't go blaming it on the distance.
Trust is the key word, when entering a new relationship you must have the
trust there...it is unfair to that person to not trust them because you got
burnt in the past. No two people are the same...does it mean you get keep
tuned to your instincts...no it does not. But constant questioning, and
analyising whats going on, will definately kill a relationship.
Like Metu said, trust, love and I add the desire to make it happen are the
key ingredients. This may sound strange, but if two people are of like mind and
emotion, and given the proper level of communication a strong bond can be
developed and nutured.
For me a ldr can and is working...because we are both committed to it. Shortly
it will not be an ldr as I will be headed her way. If you want something
bad enough you will do what it takes. Isn't that right Donna???
