It's safe to say that most of us are here to meet and interact with the opposite gender.

How many are looking for that to ultimately end in wedlock?

Does marraige MEAN anything or is it a piece of paper?.....is it necessary to leave the back door open a crack?...is it the true expression and promise for a full life together?

Ohh arkansasman!! so early?? LOL

I'm not looking for marriage.. but the right man MIGHT change my mind. I AM looking for a monogomous long term relationship with my last love. I don't think marraige is the ultimate prize.... I think love and commitment is tho.

I think I'm just in an earlier time zone.

...lol.....and I'm an engineer; the company expects our brains to start working as soon as we get to the office.

I might have to start throwing some penalty flags.....

Don't I read a gazillion posts a day saying people are looking for that forever love?...someone to spend the rest of their lives with?....

......I'm just asking if marraige (for you) is attached to that.

Don't be shy.

If I felt everything were right, I would love to marry again, but I wouldn't rush into anything. I would say of all the mistakes I made in my past relationships, the biggest blunder was not really getting to know the men before I got into relationships with them. So the answer is absolutely, if that is what we both wanted.

Are you ignoring me? And before you start throwing penalty flags, you have to answer your own question.

lol......I would never ignore you (I'm here to meet attractive ladies after all).

Your answer seemed to reinforce how gun-shy people ARE about marraige.....which leads me back to.......if marraige is the ultimate expression of love on the lifetime scale......then why are people so afraid of it?

marriages are set up for divorce anymore. it would be easier to just give the woman half my shit on the first date and get it over with!! lol seriously, people can live together and have a healthy monogamous relationship without that dreaded piece of paper. that way you still get all your stuff back if it turns sour. It sounds like you think that piece of paper is the CAUSE of splitting up.

Are you saying that most people that love each other will break up?

For many I think they feel that marriage is just a piece of paper. Most do not take their marriage vows seriously. I do feel at this point in my life that marriage is not as important as it was when I was younger. I will most defiantly take more time to make that decision. I will not say never because as soon as I do it will reach up and bite me.
