I see a lot of post on here by people looking for their soulmate. Here are a couple of explanations I found on the net.
Twin Flame Soulmates
This is the most popular type of soulmate. There is usually one twin flame soulmate for each of us. Twin flame soulmates have spent multiple lifetimes together in past lives. There is incredible chemistry and attraction towards each other. They "complete" each other and only few lucky people are able to find their twin flame soulmate. Twin flame soulmates, if separated, usually suffer enormous pain.
Spiritual Soulmate Concepts
Many religions and spiritual paths believe in reincarnation and the concept of karma. Through reincarnation, soulmates may spend many lifetimes together in past lives.
My question's are,
Do you believe in either one or possibly both explanation's?
and
How would you know or recognize that you have found your soulmate, without having lived a lifetime with them?
Personally I believe in creation, and reincarnation and not evolution, therefore I do believe both concepts are possible.

I would like to believe it...but I don't think that this is true. However, I have come to the realization in my life that relationships can be made or broken by what you put into them. For example, if I would have been a better person to my ex, I would have been probably still with her. I know this now.....didn't know it then, and now I am trying to do better this time around.

Did you find an in depth article about *twin flame soul mates?
The concept interests me,
**how deep some loves can be**
... and others do not experience the
same KIND of love...
from the moment you awake, until you go
to sleep, you are thinking good thoughts about that love...
you want to do everything possible to make that person's day and
evening..the best it can be....
many loves start out like this,
but how many endure the years,
and still shine bright....(after illness, pain, loss of a sibling,
or parent), life has set backs,
and then there are stunning towers of glee?
THAT LOVE endures...

I think God has the perfect person for each of us and WE usually can't wait for the one or your soul mate. Casual sex or whatever we do to get ourselves by or just settling. Everytime we choose to settle for anyone takes us farther away from the ONE we are suppose to be with. To sum this all up...we PEOPLE think we know everything and we try to do all the things in life that would bring pleasure to us. No thought about tomorrow. Now you reach mid-life and wonder what is wrong. FUNCTIONAL INSANITY:::: oing the same thing over and over and over and expecting a different result each time.

I somehow feel like a dog on a walk. I've just spotted this wondrous tree, sniff it and to my amazement few if any have marked it. Lift a leg and claim it as my very own tree. Smile that happy puppy dog smile and continue on very relieved.
Anyhow, onto the substance of this - soulmates.
I don't think I believe in the concept actually. I once did when I was younger and thought that I had found that very special one to whom I was meant to be with this go round.
I think people feel a tugging inside to the one they want to think is their soul mate, but it's really just attraction (physical, or to their characteristics).
Maybe if we lived in a much smaller world where it was more like a small town this concept of soul mates would be more credible. But instead we're living in a world separated by land, sea, language, age, distance, political views, class, appearance and so on.
Of course...
What if...
Damn that would be nice to dream about wouldn't it?
I mean...some lucky lady here could be destined to be the soul mate of Screech.
Oh well, I have other trees I must explore and leave my mark upon tonight.

Interesting enough
Nope I did'nt find an indepth study on this, I really was'nt looking for one I was more interested in other peoples thoughts.
Perhaps could it be possible that a lot of people have divorced their soulmate, unknowingly.
I mean with today's world, and the communication we have, and the acceptance and ease of change, that the desires and thoughts of the flesh have taken over and rule the spirit instead of the spirit ruling the flesh.

If you were with your soul mate you wouldn't divorce them. If there was such a thing as a soul mate then you would get along so perfect that once you found them you would be with them till death and then re-connect in another life.
Soul mates are a fantasy to make people think that there has to be "the one" out there foe each and every one of us.

Yeah, I believe in soulmates. I believe we have many soulmates. Parents, children, best friend, lover, enemy. 'The other side' is all about love and as geogeo said, soul circles. Our souls plan out scenarios where we'll come across each other for life lessons. One of your soulmates may have the job of pushing your buttons in this life for various reasons. One of your soulmates may be there to bring you up when you are down, etc.. I believe the twin flame theory, too. Those couples still deeply in love after 50 years or more. If your twin soul and you become so dependent on each other over lifetimes, you may go separate ways for a while to learn lessons you can't get together.
Lots of material on these subjects. "Only Love Is Real" by Brian Weiss, MD, is a very good case study of two people under hypnosis and how he figured out they were looking for each other. He set up an 'accidental' meeting for their paths to cross.
There are other case studies from people under hypnosis. One is called "Journey of the Soul" and "Destiny of the Soul" but can't recall the name of the doctor who compiled them right now.
hope this helps? RB

Oh don't be such a non-romantic. . Geez how ya gonna get a girl to say hello if you
don't at least think there might be such a thing as soul mates.
I think there are spirits that connect in every life time.
