So I've dated several guys down here since I moved here last October. The thing is that they all turn out to be jerks...I'm not sure maybe I have I Love Jerks tattooed on my forehead or something...but is it too much to ask for to find a nice guy for once. I mean I realize I'm only 21, 22 in 2ish months but like idk ever since I even started dating I have only dated guys that treat me like shit or guys that lie or cheat...and they arn't, well they don't seem to be like that when I first meet them and idk...maybe it's me. But lately the last two guys made up hella shitty excuses why they weren't able to come see me and they both involved having to go to the hospital...like I'm an understanding person so I was like ok that's fine but come to find out one of them just made it up because he didn't want to come see me which is bull because all he does is text me saying when are we gonna see each other again when are we gonna hang out blah blah blah so wtf I don't understand....idk what else to even say I guess I'm just ranting because I'm upset...when I lived in NY I had a lot of friends and dates and boyfriends and stuff and here it's like I'm being punished because I am from NY...because a lot of people I talk to here say they aren't very fond of NY for some reason...maybe because a lot of NC is NY now because NY lost a lot of jobs and stuff so NY people moved here but whatever the reason it's stupid because I'm a good person and I don't deserve to be treated like crap and be lied too no one does...

Nope, nobody deserves to be treated like crap. Rant all you want, dear.
I heard an interesting theory about why NYer's started moving here....Air Conditioning. I grew up in NC before A/C in the home became the norm...summers were some kind of hot. After we put A/C in all the stores and homes, folks from up north found this to be a pretty nice place to live.

i understand what your saying. i'm fed up with the woman i e-mail and they e-mail back and say they want to get to know me better and i'll reply and then POOF there gone.
why do woman act like there interisted and then just stop writing. i have had woman wink at me and then i'll write back and never hear from them again.
it's not a good thing when you want to just leave a free site.
please explane

i do not expect to ever understand a woman or have woman understand men. but at least be grown up enough to let the other know your not interisted or you have somebody else don't just vanish.

I know a number of people who moved down here from NY.. It takes awhile to realise they
do have different attitudes about things.Thats not wrong ---just different !!OK,,,,,and
for the recored I was not an originall Tarheel..So be patient .. give the southern people a chance, things will work out in time..ok?

I was there with ya'll last week. Met a guy who's big excuse was that THOMASVILLE is too far from Charlotte. Sheesh, dude, I drive to Greensboro at least once a week--it's less than an hour and a half from my house to Thomasville. Just tell me I'm not your type! And in all the (lengthy) e-mails and (lengthy) phone calls in the weeks before the first meeting (mostly instigated by him) it was, "oh, I believe in honest communication. You have to be open with me. I'm straightforward. blah, blah, blah." I guess he thought I was already head over heels for him and wouldn't be able to take it if he said, "I'm just not that into you."
Then there was the one who got mad at me because I pinched him and pretended to lose a cell phone connection and never talked to me again. Cute . . . nice guy . . . but honey, come on!
But I'm back to glass half-full this week. I have a theory ladies (and gentlemen): you have to kiss a certain number of frogs before one turns into a prince (or princess). And some of the frogs ARE kinda fun while they last! It's all experience. You can use it to be down on dating or (much worse) to be down on yourself. OR you can learn from it, realize that it probably had as much or more to do with them than you and maybe figure out what you did to either make the wrong choice or to freak a decent choice out. From my two examples above--I had reservations about Thomasville guy early on (a little too needy for my liking) and I should have listened. I learned (for the 1000th time) that I should remember to listen to my gut. From the pinch guy, I learned that (longer story behind this), I really can't be with a guy who doesn't like to be touched--no matter how seemingly terrific he is in every other way. Weird lessons, to be sure, and the ones you find if you go this way with it may be equally weird, but hey--the pinch guy was a great kisser and the Thomasville guy was a great e-mailer . . . so I had fun while it lasted. Maybe the next guy will fit me a little better. If not, well I'm sure he'll teach me a thing or two, whether he means to or not.

tarheel i know what u mean thats what guys are doin to me on this site lol but i met a marine and he seems pretty down to earth so im keepin my fingers crossed and good luck figuring women out lol i am one and i couldnt tell u why we do half the shit we do
