Need Help Okay? I was disapproved of my husband's widow benefits because I am not disable enough according to SSA. What do you think I should do this has been the 3rd time since he died 03-28-2007. I have been disable since 1986. I did work for six yrs after I got on my SSI but I falling at work and fracture my left foot and can stand on it but a few munites before it is in a lot of pain. Don't you think it would be better to take a ball bat to this left foot and then go to hospital and let them fix back. If you think so I might do this ball bat to my left foot this weekend what do you think?. Or should I go to a Lawyer to help myGenny.what to do myGenny soon on this.

I had to wait for widow's benefits until I turned 60. and if you have any children under 18 you can get them now, but how many our age are crazy enough to have children that young?? and if I had re,arried before turning 60, I could not have gotten them at all. their rules..

I agree with 1oleman! Find a lawyer. I don't know the rules for disability SS benefits.
I had to wait for widow's benefits until I turned 60 also.... that was 8 years ago. The rules had changed prior to 1998 and you can remarry without losing your SS widow's benefits. As a matter of fact, if you remarry and are widowed again they double check to see which husband's benefits would give you the most.

Social Security sucks...they told me that I make to much money to get survivor benefits...but I am eligible for 2 checks a year..starting next year..??? makes no sense to me...??
My son is eligible for benefits...and he started getting them the month after Kenny passed away...
Kenny had applied for social security disability and was denied..after he died, they did what they call a determination after death..and the judge was an out of state judge because Missouri sucks...Kenny got an attorney..and hopefully that will help, because if they find he was disabled, then they have to pay me all the way back to 2006...and someone said that I may get future benefits..
So, long story short..get a lawyer...and good luck..

I want to let everyone to know that I will be talking to a lawyer today and I will not be taking a bat to myGenny left foot. So pray everyone that the Lawyer will be able to help myGenny on this manner of the SSA. Take Care and everyone have a BLESS Day in the LORD JESUS.
