protodewd Acworth, GA age: 50	Absolutely! Damn, I miss the 70's. In California. In the wake of the women's lib movement, going braless was a freedom statement to most women. Wearing a halter top or tube top, a bra completely ruined the look, showing straps where they didn't belong, or using one of those horrible strapless ones, deforming the boobs with that cinch-strap look, was simply blasphemous. But something happened in the 80's. Women realized the effect that gravity was having on them and started wearing them again. Then, suddenly the nipple came under fire from every direction. Where did all this nipple hate come from? The very thing that made the breast unique and more than just a bag of fat became something to be ashamed of? Would that poster of Farrah Fawcett even sold 100 copies were it not for her awesome nipple straining to break through that swimsuit? Would Charlie's Angels have lasted more than the first season if not for Farrah running around in tight polo shirts with no bra? Sheesh. Nowadays we even have these fake pastie things for you to wear beneath 'slightly revealing' clothing just to hide those puppies from us. What a bunch of prudes you ladies have become. So sad. Just use the pencil test. If you can pass it, let those puppies go free! Ok, maybe a kindergarten pencil, unless you're built like Milla Jovovitch, or Keira Knightley. Those two should NEVER wear a over the shoulder boulder holder.

You did not live through the massive freedom movement of Gloria Steinum. It was glorious! Women became creatures of free breasts!! YAY!!!! Just because a woman goes braless does not make her trashy... I'd suggest a little excursion into american history of the Womens movement... At the same time women also took control of their reproductive system... Do you take advantage of the "pill"? equal opportunities in the workplace? Being able to enter into legal and binding agreements? ... All of these and more rights were fought for by those "trashy" women with very high ideals... Luv ya Sunfreak! Because I kinda agree with Kristy - I realize the woman's movement was very important, and I am incredibly grateful for it, especially where politics are concerned. But I do think that typically, my impression of a girl who goes braless is that she wants attention - not that attention is bad, but she wants to be seen - nothing will come of it. I mean, I realize it is comfortable, and to each their own. I think kristy was just saying that when a girl goes braless, it seems fairly obvious she wants men to stare, and typically you may get the wrong kind of attention - attention from a few men who just can't help but stare, and then a few perverts who only view you as an object. I see her point. But I do realize often a girl will go braless to make this kind of statement, and that's fine. I think she was referring more to the kind of attention it can attract, and the impression it gives to ask such a "obvious question." haha, one poster said, "of course they do, they're men." That made me laugh - pretty true. Anyway, I realize we all have our reasons for being braless or not. Haha, but I don't think anyone meant to say that every braless woman is trashy or that every bra-wearing woman is against the woman's movement. Haha. This whole situation kindof makes me laugh.

maryg2 Philadelphia, PA age: 38	ok, i know u asked men this question but i thought i would put my 2 cents in as a woman. if you can get away with going braless, then by all means esp. if it's not noticeable. if it's going to attract attention where it is noticeable and u like the attention, good or bad, then you will deal with it. i think it's pretty simple. i can't imagine most men saying "no, i don't like women with no bras" if it's obvious. cause it's in their nature to enjoy a woman with nice boobs or maybe not so nice boobs. who knows. now to the women who literally let their boobs hang practically all out, i think that's uncalled for. they are seriously needing attention and that they will get. being sensual and sexy is one thing but that is overkill. and i do disagree with women that wear tanktops so to speak with different colored bras underneath which don't match and the straps are all hanging out. kind of looks tacky. oh, well. at least men never have to make this decision. they can let it all hang out or not! lucky for u, men! say I AM MAN!....lol

christi284 Ogden, UT age: 19	Oh, and I have to say - I think that I support the movement, but Gloria Steinem is, well, interesting. I realize she is incredible in some ways, but mentioning her on here is ironic to me - since she was so against marriage or lasting relationships because they "demean women." I find that funny, seeing as how this site is full of people looking for "the one." And I saw an interview with her - about if women should be firefighters (which I think is fine, my female friend is an excellent one). The issue was if women should be allowed to be one if they weren't strong enough....should they be allowed because they are women? Or should they still have to meet the same standard? And they told a story about a man who broke two ribs or something because the woman firefighter who wasn't strong enough dragged him down three flights of stairs. Anyway, they asked her this, and she said something like, "well the women should still have the right to do that, and keep a different standard so we have equal rights." then she said, and I kid you not, "besides, i'd rather be dragged anyway. there is less smoke down there." I realize she did some incredible things, and I am not against her - but I think she is kindof funny, and I just had to say I found it ironic to see her name on a site full of people looking for relationships. haha
