 I met my wife July 1997 We lived together until March 1999 when we got married. She got sick in 2002 and she passed away August 25 2005 She was 59 years old when I met her and I was 54.  I knew my husband from school days and we ran into each other at my brothers in 1989. We moved in together and married in 1994. We were together 15 yrs, married 10 of those. We had just renewed our 10 yr wedding vows in Feb. of 2004. In June of 04 he was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and passed Sept 22 2004. I think God for ever moment we had together.

 I buried him on our 9th anniversary! He was my second hubby and I loved him dearly. The first one was a jerk. I never expected to be a widow at 47. I thought I would be with my hubby until we were both old old. But esophageal cancer showed up, and 2 years later, he was gone on through the pearly gates. I don't know if I will ever recover. You don't get over, you just get thru.

 I move in with him right after I met him the first time and we had 15 years. we worked together and we were never apart though many people tried to tell us we needed time apart, we just couldn't I loved him the first day and I will love him on my last day.

 Lilguppy, I wish I had words of comfort for you as well as everyone here. We all have to go thru this heartache and its not fun. Especially during the holidays. I've been feeling a little more b*tchy here lately and I didn't really know why until my drive home from work tonite. Its the season I've loved for so long and now Dave is not here. Its the 1st Christmas without him. I will be going home to see my family and my Soldier Son will also be there, but its just not the same. I haven't cried in so long and now the tears just won't stop. Here alone again. I should be happy that I'll be with family, but tonite I'm just dreading it. Maybe its just for the day. I hope all this dread will be gone tomorrow. I'm usually stonger than this. Seeing all the Christmas lights makes me sad that he's not here with me, altho I know he's in my heart and always will be.
Feeling sorry for myself tonite. I guess I needed to.
