And when a guy asks you what your idea of a first date involves, what does he really want to know? The truth?

Hey I tell all since that is who I am ... why give only half truths when eventually it's gonna come out. Figure if he doesn't like what he hears then I'm clearly not the one for him. As for first dates, lunch is better or a coffee place ... just make sure it's a public place.

I would rather go to lunch for a first date, depends on the guy as to what he's asking some only want to meet and talk, others expect sex on the first date, up to you to set the limits as to how far you are willing go on a first date and make them clear. This is were the difference between the young men and the older men come in most of the younger men expect sex the first date while the older tend to leave it more up to the woman has to how far she's willing to go or at least this is my experiences that's why I choose to date only older men

lunch is he best way to get to know anybody. you can sit and talk if yall like each other then you can go to dinner for drinks. you have to get to know anybody before you get to far.
that is the one problem with this web site.

Ok, Lunch it is. thanks
I guess I don't really look at this website so much to meet folks - more like a support system of likewise messed-up (I know I know - speak for myself) individuals.

Thats why you ask someone out for coffee. When your mouth is full of food it's hard to talk. But than aain depending on who you end up with food in your mouth might not be so bad

Yeah, coffee is good too but I'm not a big caffeine drinker. Even decaf has some caffeine in it and I really can't drink caffeine after Noon or I have trouble getting to sleep.
I wake up at 1 AM almost every night, regardless, though. What is with that?

True. And if we meet for coffee first, then the second date can be lunch!! And I can put off the inevitable dinner date which we all know ends in.....who knows what!!! Just too scary to think about for me right now

I think lunch is or coffee wins out because if it's drinks, your perception/judgement becomes blurred with alcohol. Plus some women get themselves into dangerous situations with alcohol That's my 2 cents worth anyway. Just make sure it's decaf or else you'll be bouncing off the walls and needing to pee every five minutes if you're like me. That can kind of cramp the mood too.

Maybe a light lunch and then go bs at a coffee shoppe or something. Laid back and something easy to back out of if you don't feel comfortable.
