I agree with Barb, I think we all have been stood up. Don't know it this counts as being stood up or not, but.....
I had talked back and forth with this girl for months, online and phone. She kept saying that she wanted to come visit, but didn't have the money. After months, we decided for her to come here in June, and I would pay her plane fare. Three days before her flight, she emails and says she has met someone, and was not coming.
Plane flight - 475.00
Canceling said flight - 50.00
Making sure she couldn't use the ticket later - 25.00 (vengence! )
Lesson learned, PRICELESS!

I got stood up once. I was so angry. What I'm going to say next isn't right to do, but I did it. Do not do this. I went on the dating site. Created a false profile. Put a picture up of a model type woman. I contacted this guy. Set up a meeting, at the same exact place. I went up there and waited for him to show up. Indeed he did show up, with flowers in hand. His date never did show up of course. I got my revenge. I know it was childish to do, but it felt so darn good.

I once got stood up. I guess that's the danger of on-line dating. I talked to him a few times on the phone and we were supposed to meet, but he never showed. Never even called, but you better believed I left a b*tchy message on his phone!
