Have you ever suspected someone of lying to you and did something sneaky to find out the truth for yourself? Then of course, you find out that you were right and the person was lying to you after all. Would you call the person out on it or would you just let it ride until they hang themself with other lies? I mean, after all, if you do confront them with it then they will know what tactics you used to find out. Hmmmm...what would you do?

Im the type of person...if I see something like that I will become angry..but I may not act right away..I get to the point where it all boils over in one moment..never really been to that point in a long time..I hope it never happens to me..I may do something I regret..or just smack them and walk away....and then last but not least...forgive and forget.....

I normally call people out when I know they are telling a lie, honesty is tops with me and anyone close to me knows this.

I totally agree that honesty is a priority but by sneaking around to find out the truth does that make the person being sneaky dishonest as well?

I always call them out on it.. especially if they have lied to my face about it repeadedly.. sure hurts though, because when you reach this point, you know it's over.

i did.a gal that was on this site as a matter of fact.
i had my suspicions and she insisted i go into her regular email and see for myself.she gave me her password so i said what the hell.there wasnt anything unusual in her inbox so i checked her sent messages.there were all kinds of emails to all kinds of men.most of them were very private and graphic....to say the least.then she had the nerve to call me sneaky i was like

personally i see no reason to be sneaky about anything.if i have to do that then its over anyway.i tend to go with my gut...and its usually right.

Ask yourself these questions... Do you deserve a relationship that is deceptive? And, do you deserve to be lied to? I am sure your answers are, "No you don't."

Another question you should ask yourself is, "What do you feel comfortable in doing about the situation of him lying to you?"

Getting revenge..

Hey, we're exactly the same age...what are the odds of that??? As for your question, be sure to document everything so when you confront them with however many lies you want to address, you have all the evidence so they cannot deny it. A good liar can convince you that you must be mistaken, or will tend to deny the facts unless the proof is indisputable.

honesty??
The op had written ''Have you ever suspected someone of lying to you and did something sneaky to find out the truth for yourself?''

so you would have to have done something 'sneaky' and maybe not so honest to get the information in the first place.

If you call the person out on it--it would show that you were underhanded in your means to get the information.

so it seems the honesty would go right out the door.

For me it would depend on what the lie was about. In some cases, I let them hang themselves, others I call them out on it. I go with my gut feeling as to how to play it out.
