Picky is fine because most people are picky to an extrent or at one time or another but it's not being picky if you are not doing the picking. At some point you have to make the first move and not hope "Mr. Right" will fall into your lap.

Based on my experience,your 33 have no kids and probably without knowing it
listening to your maternal Clock. and are screening for a Proper man
to bear a child with.
so you want to be certain that there will also be financial security
During those child rearing years.
This is what I refer to as old fashioned values. And I have lived my
life by these same values.
May I suggest however, that in addition to stating what your demands are from a mate
Is to describe what you offer in return, in order not to sound self centered in anyway
Again, just my point of view.

I am amazed the OP hasn't had to call the National Guard for help driving hordes of men (and some women...) from her door!
In real life, that is.
Welcome to online so-called 'dating' - 99% of which is scams, frauds, fakes and weirdos, as you are discovering.
Men in approximately your position get women 10 years their senior, single mothers with megatons of attitude, Russian, African , Asian (and American) scam artists of quite literally ALL stripes you can imagine (plus a few you rather wouldn't), cam girls wanting to 'chat', women (???) with VERY attractive pictures on their profiles trying to get them to subscribe to either a paid dating site or some type of sex site.
Every once in a while, we get hate mail from a real (?) woman if she disagrees with something we say on a forum VERY violently indeed (= the truth).
That's it.
I heartily recommend the real world.
Which in many cases will mean the much maligned 'bar scene'.
The OP should have no trouble there.

I agree with pretty much everybody, that is not being too picky at all. You just know what you want and you just have to go after it. There is nothing with wrong high standards.
Just be careful not to set your standards extremely too high where you can possibly block out your Mr. Right. But your standards are pretty good, and I say go hard after your perfect man!

you know if someone like you is having hell finding someone and at your age (whn guys should have everything together or at least most of it) then theres no hope for anyone my age and like me!! i dont think that youre being picky at all. you know what you want even if its just a fwb. and if a guy cant deal with that or plays the 'i dont understand' card then he was really about nothing more than playing games and not WORTH your time anyway.
i dont think anyone has sandards these days and so used to getting things from the oppisite sex (or same) with little or no effort and it sux! in the words of some politicitans "stay the corse" losers come and go and are plentyful. and when you find someone let me know because that means theres someone for me not too long ago lol. dont lower your standards because guys wont lower theirs not even a little....

Women on dating websites are looking for relationships, Men however (for the most part) are looking for sex. So... being that you are a woman, you have to relize that anyone seriously looking for a relationship on this website or others like it have major character defects. Otherwise they would have no problems finding someone in the real world. So, you will inevitabley run into alot of broke, ugly or fat, f**ked up in the head, full of themselves type people. In short you cant go to burger king and expect to find fillet minyon on the menu.

I know there is hope on this site cause I have read the sucess stories...I'm still fresh to this so I know its probablly gonna just take more time...what I'm starting to realize is that its gonna really be a big weeding out process cause no matter what you put in your profile some people are just gonna not bother even reading it or they read it and the wrong ones will still try to contact you LOL ....this princess better get ready to meet quite a few frogs LOL but its cool I really enjoy the forums and there are some smart and amazing people in them that are not burger king quality they are filet migon
