Is it possible that talking on the phone can grow boring after awhile, and possibly when you both parties meet you will amazely connect? Or if there is a connection are you supposed to be able to talk for hours on the phone..
some people do not do well on the phone, but do great in person/online
some people do great online, but not on the phone/in person.
God created each person unique. It takes time to get to know another person. It takes time to build trust.

I can usually hold my own, in a one-on-one conversation. But, if I have to talk to an answering mach. all bets are off. I can't think of a damn thing to say.

I dunno...after the first 18 hours, I get bored...
Seriously, though, anyone who wants to monopolize your free time so much is not in love with you - they are compulsive. I know during the courtship of my second husband when he was in Florida and I was in California, I fell asleep twice while he was talking to me on the phone. Oh and I forgot the time I fell alseep when he was talking to me in person, too!!!

Talking on the phone is the best way to really get to know a person. You can tell o if their voice is exciting or boring to you. Yu can find out what kind of language they use in everyday life- decent or foul!!. You can find out what kind of childhood they had while growing up. You find out their likes and dis-likes a bout just about anything. It's a super way of knowing if you're wasteing your time Chatting !! And- Yes You can fall in love on the phone

I kind of would want some kind of connection on the phone before I would date someone. Maybe you are right some people just aren't good on the phone, but when I do talk to people on the phone, I do get a much clearer picture of them.

But just what if you get that phone conversation where the next thing you know 5 hours have passed? It felt like just minutes and you want to keep talking because you just have so much to say and click so well. You feel closer and drawn to the person. Sometimes conversations are just so good that time is not a factor, it is natural.
There too are conversations where 5 minutes you are like OMG this is too much. But when you just get that one that is amazing why wouldnt you want to talk if it is so easy to do?

The phone conversations SHOULD be an indication of being compatible.
It's not always right......

I'm not arguing that point.
I've rarely spoken with anyone on the phone without "flow"............but it doesn't indicate compatibility.
Perhaps it is a seperate skill............just "making conversation".

We are talking phone compatibility here just phone compatibility a flowing conversation indicates phone compatibility.
At least it does for me.
However there are phone conversations that are not compatible so I dont talk to them again.
