I've been on here for awhile now, talked to some really nice men and women and have found a few people that I seemed to have a connection with....That being said, have yet to "actually" meet anyone......
I'm looking for incredible love, you know that kind where the person is your best friend, your lover, your soulmate.......wants to go through this journey in life by your side kind of love, they encourage your dreams and you theirs, stand by you during your best days and your worst.......Is this too much to ask for? Your thoughts and/or opinions are welcome!

no that is not to much to ask for. that what's life is about. to find that special someone to share the good and bad, the ups and the downs. someone to finish your thoughts before you can.
love is so precious and should be given on to that special someone.
so my opinion is dont give up, because when you find that incredible love the journey would have been worth it.

What do you mean by "actually" meet? F2F?
What are your parameters? Within 50 miles?
There are other sites. Are you getting out?
I say stop asking and start getting. Go get it. It exists. I know. I HAVE "actually" met some from this site and others, but I still prefer meeting people during random normal activities, like shopping, gym, dining, church, whatever.

So, you 43.. but looking for 22 to 42.. how is that working out? maybe, try 38 to 50, and be willing to meet ''any body type"

The hardest part is not to have a preconsived notion of what we want, which means we spend so much time looking for a rose, we miss the orchaids. (and people who can spell)Seems so many have a score card that they rule out people who might have been the best thing ever happened to them. Even worse we rule out people because we think they would not be happy with us as we really are. I guess if you have a time limit on how long it will take to find the one, we may run out of time before we run out of people. JMO

I realized a few weeks ago that, for me, it would take a miracle to actually meet someone to have a relationship on-line. It's a rural area and when I click "who's online in area" after 6 PM there's nobody there! When I check on new memebers, there might be 5 all month, usually at least 100 miles away.
But I am fond of a lot of people here and have made a couple of friends. The forums can be a funny as hell or "hot" as hell, depending on what I choose to read.
Don't know if you have any hobbies but if you do find out if there is a club in your area. I went to a local "rock-hound" meeting years ago (to hear the lecture!) and intend to check it out again for new friends!
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for all of us!

Massagegal, I think after we have lived life for awhile, and made mistakes and chose unwisely and gotten into relationships for the wrong reasons, it is only natural to desire incredible love.
I know personally, I don't want to be in a relationship again unless I have that incredible love. I don't know if that is right, and I don't know if it is reasonable or attainable, but it is definitely what I desire. I guess if I never find it, I will have a heck of a lot of fun dating and seeking it.

I don't think hoping to find happiness is too much to ask for at all. I see it all around so I sometimes figure,well why not me? I once had this very thing I write about. I remember how it made me feel inside. So uninhibited and years younger as well. That is the best I've ever fely. If it happened once, why not expect it to happen again? And you must not stop trying because it is worth waiting for. That I want you to know most of all. Good luck to you, I mean that. And don't forget to have fun and a great holiday season
