After being hurt once we all shy from the fear of it happening again, even though it was ten years ago I tend to fear men that need touch me around the shoulders my second husband was an abuser and the head and shoulder area was what he grabbed for first, everyone has fear of being rejected or hurt the same way over again, natural so we tend to hold back on all our true feelings

True.. but when you hold back.. you are just hurting your chances.. and the one who wishes to get close to you. It would be like spinning your wheels.

So ur saying to just go 4 it and don't let fear get in the way of what i could b missing out on? Have you taking that route yet and you don't get a little nervous trying to get involve with someone to erase the thought of a failed love in ur past

It's tough but I agree that sometimes your fears can inadvertently sabotage a new relationship. You have to be ready to let go of the past, let it go. Learn from your mistakes and take it from there.

I have been single since 91 so I don't have that fear or baggage. I lost my fiance' in 04 when a tractor trailer slammed into his truck while avoiding another car. I am not afrad of love. I do have fears of losing someone like I did Jimmie, however
