I just met someone today on this site and found out we grew up in the same town. We share alot of good memories of the same things, and thought maybe other people on here do to and just don't know it yet. You might have more in common than you think.

Born in Upstate NY, lived in WVA for a little bit, then spent the majority of my childhood/teen years back in NY. I've lived in TX twice, CA twice, ND, and NE for the past 12yrs. Finally back in NY though! 
Heyyyyyyyyy me too!!! Glense Falls, NY until age 14 when our family moved to So Ca and been here since!

I moved to California 23 years ago. Only time I have been in snow in all those years was a stopover in Amsterdam on my way to Egypt. Love to look at snow off in the distance in the mountains but that is as close I was want to get.

It sounds like we are just examples of how 'mobile" this country is. For me, I never fit in when I grew up in Iowa because my NY born and raised parents did not fit in either. I left Iowa 23 years ago and have never looked back. But I hate cold weather, so NY was not an alternative.

OMan Jordan and Saudi? Wow, quite something for a blonde kid. A good friend of mine from Kansas blond haired blue eyed grew up in Libya....she loved it. I lived in Egypt for three years 91-94, but as an adult.
