Well if you have a two year old Repo, you DON'T have much time to think about anything as it is !! There are many times I find solace in my dog when I'm down..........but you've got your hands full kid. I think its cool that you have a two year old to keep you occupied.

LOL Want him for a week Agent?? J/K He's a great kid and does keep me very busy. Most of the time when I get into a funk all it takes is a smile from his sweet face and I'm better! Too bad he's at day care right now!

Repo and everybody - first off HI and second, yes I think we all go through this......I know I am not having a great week, let alone day........it happens...........just gotta keep moving........one step at a time.
As for the self talk - well I do that too but........I focus on the things I want and not currently getting. I've never been one to delude myself through self talk.
A friend suggested to me a week or so ago to keep an "accomplishment log"...list out things that needed to be address - with school, the kids, the divorce - whatever...with a date started and a date finished..gives me something to look back on when I feel as if I am barely treading water...it has helped.

I have thought about getting a dog but I seriously think I would pull my hair out with a dog and a 2 year old. That just might be my undoing, there...LOL

But then you can take the dog (not a puppy too much work) to the dog park and meet some hunky guys as you and your son enjoy a day together..

Hi all,
Repo...I hear ya.
When I was going through a dark spot, a friend suggested I pray for "tangible supports."
Things I could see, to know God remembered that I felt like shit.
I find them daily in things that tickle me, He puts them RIGHT in my face so I don't miss it in my funk.
Today's so far?
Rain, steady down pour
Making a 5:40AM call to someone who liked it, wanted to hear my voice
IMing with dear friends, introducing one to the other online
It helps me to write, and a book it can be until something clicks. Then some self awareness. A little chunk at a time, but it keeps me moving forward. I write down things that interest me, make me smile..
Big hug for ya...

For you Repo and anyone else having a bad day
Sometimes life will present you with an unexpected detour. Sometimes you'll spend a lot of time and effort, and end up right back where you started. Such times are no reason for despair. Rather, they provide an opportunity for renewed determination and commitment. Sometimes, things will not go as you planned. When that happens, keep in mind that much of life's richness comes from its unpredictability.
Rather than cursing the detours that life throws your way, explore what they have to offer. Even though you're not moving in the direction you intended to go, you can still make positive progress.
No moment is wasted when you live it with passion and purpose. Every sincere effort brings a valuable reward, even though the result may not be exactly as you planned. Getting there the fastest is not nearly as important as making the most of every moment.
Value and enjoy the journey, even when there are detours along the way.
