you talked shit to the judge and the ticket got reduced...you say you don't like oklahoma but i would stay there if i were you because if you did that here you would have gotten a bigger fine or sat your ass in jail . juvinile judge or not it's still a judge and contempt of court is still contempt of court

That is bullshit, when I was a boy the Truancy Officers, use to nab us and beat our asses then drive us to school and send a letter to the parents, if it kept up they would come to the house and just threaten the parents to control their kids, that was about all they could do.

I was in no way disrespectful..I made a clear statement and left..I'm just wondering if this will affect me in the dating scene? Not many men worth going out with here as it is..I know I've tried and had a miserable time of it.
But, My trying to be more vocal..What are the "dating" pros and con's?

They dont handle truancy the same way in my town. If you are more then 10 minutes late, you missed the class. Doesnt matter if you show up or not. 10 days missed and you get no credit for the Semester.

Peaches-
I understand where you are coming from but I wish to Hell that we had that law here. My middle child will be turning 18 after the first of the year and only has 1.5 high school credits. He was kicked out of school when he turned 16 because he never attended class. He just plays PS2 or plays on the computer all day while I have to pay child support. His mother, a 30 year teacher, wouldn't make him go and I couldn't do anything about it because he didn't want to live with me. Hell, why would he when he is getting by with this crap? Oh yeah, she was once the counties "Teacher of the Year" recipient.
Anyway, there is a sound reason for the law and it is really there for the betterment of the child, although all violations should be looked at on a case by case basis. If we had that law here the judge may have forced my ex to turn over custody to me.

Here where I live,if a child misses
more than 3 days of school,they kick
him out for 2 weeks.(isn't that stupid)
If it happens again the parents get
jailed.And they do put them behind
bars.Its all about the money,JMO

Hard to believe anyone would be so thin skinned that would set them off. Are you calling this rude????
Here we have the same law, and considering what is going on with kids going/not going to school and how the level of education is dropping, I don’t think it is all that stupid. But then, I made my kids go to school, so this wasn’t an issue for me.

LOL Well, if you would have had the kids in school, or at least had excused absenses then you would have been able to go to the party. Have read a lot of your other posts through these forums, and never seen any of them give people such a dim view, much less such a deterent to dating you before. Naw, would prefer a woman who does her job by her kids, knows how to act properly in all settings, and doesn’t use every, inappropriate opportunity, to scare up dates. And since I have kids of my own, sure wouldn’t want someone around them that was this kind of influence, or they could end up like stl1 said his kid did.

Way to go Peaches!!! And to the guy above me you have no right to judge ANYBODY!!! Until you are perfect(which i am sure you are not) you have no right to tell anybody else what the are or arent doing wrong. My little brother had the same problem and my mom handled it the same way Peaches did. And my mom was a very good mother to us kids!!! You should think before you insult someone you don't even know.
