So, I had to go to court today over a new silly law they have made here regarding our kids..If they get 3 tardies/absences You as a parent get a lovely 89.00 fine plus court cost..We were there for more than 3hrs..I ran into alot of ppl I know and we all agreeded this was silly.
In the meantime I ran into 2 prospective dates lol...Two fathers facing my same delimea. Mine and my son's turn finally to approach the bench..We go up tell him what happened and he tries to get rude..I said, Wow, I didn't disrepect you and you are now disrespecting me?
He looked at me and his mouth fell open..He said "This is my court room Young lady", I replyed.."This is my son". I don't allow him to raise his voice to me, I will not allow you to either.
I took the ticket, and left...Think I'll get a call from the 2 guys? lol.

i think your full of shit,,,i've been in front of too many judges to believe you said that and then just walked out without additional fines...JMO

Call the court house...I did it and I don't care..He was only a Juvinelle Judge anyhow. What are they gonna do hang me?

LOL they wont hang you peaches but they could hold or fine you for contempt. Any court house I've been in they dont look kindly on that.

Really, I was just so upset..I work hard to keep my son in school and everyday is a job to make sure his needs are met and he is doing the right thing..Drugs are everywhere and just keeping my son away from that is hard enough. I don't need some mean old bird hollering at him too.
I feel alittle bad for getting and showing that I was upset but, Really...Who does he think he is and "young lady"..Only my father call me that.

The one time I went to court, the judge raised his voice to my son and I had warned him about it ahead of time. I said you will shut you mouth and say yes sir....that's the only thing that will come out of your mouth. It worked! He got out of the ticket.

Good for YOU Peaches!!! The "new you" is coming out! YAY!! If they are strong men with a great sense of self and right and wrong, they may call. If they are insecure or believe their "roll" is to "fix" everything, probably not... you just showed you don't need anyone to "fix" things for you.

There were Dr's, Lawyers, Teachers, and Janitors there...We all agreed on one thing...This was a very lame thing and the Judge was on a power trip...I was just the first one to say it outloud...Boo (my son) Still did not get the full ticket as his excuse was very legit.
