Thanks Metu. They don't stink EVERY time. Does that make it better?
And about whoever told you that you're the only one who thinks like you do - geez, what a jerk! Of course you're the only one who thinks like you do, but so am I, and so is the jerk who told you that, etc. etc.
Like Mr. Mom says, we are all unique and come from unique experiences etc. - that's why assumptions and mind reading don't work so well for any of us.
Being open and trusting is a good thing, in my opinion. I'm open and trusting too in my own little demented shadow way...

Maybe that came out wrong.....what he meant was that I expect people to be loyal & honest & every time I'm proven wrong, I get bummed out & disillusioned.

ok, good clarification.
I get disillusioned myself occasionally - it's just the bitter pill that comes with having high expectations and being (perhaps) overly optimistic. But, when that happens, you just have to pick yourself up and shake off and do something just for you for a while....
I took a yoga class this morning after my 30 minutes on the elyptical - was HEAVEN. I strongly recommend it. Or any kind of meditation. Works wonders when you are feeling a little blue or grumpy or dissappointed or whatever.
And hey, if you're lucky, there's a guy in the class who is trying really hard to do all the moves but keeps toppling over or looking like he's going to really hurt himself. Oh, always good for a laugh....

"I'm a brooder at times....Don't all men do this?"
Yup! Deep down us men are still cave men and when it's necessary, we need to go back into our caves.
